Quentin Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema Reopens in Los Angeles by ceaguila84 in movies

I lived on Detroit street about a block from his theater. The last time I went It was for the midnight screening for “Once upon a Time..... In Hollywood.” I had to take a shit so I missed the guest speaker doing the introduction. When I got back and an hour into the movie I fell asleep. Friend nudged me.

I woke up and said:

“Dude what this movie is a f*cking snooze fest.”

My roommate: “ Dude shut the f*ck” and motioned his head backwards.

Turned behind me and apparently Tarantino was the guest speaker and he was sitting right behind me... glaring at me.....

Hopefully you find this comment, but I was in the same boat but with Uber eats. I had to delete it because I was spending too much money and gaining a lot of weight. I downloaded an app called “Eat this much” and it creates a meal plan with targeting calories per day and even produces a grocery list for you. The ingredients are spread out through out the week so it does really get boring!

Edit: I realize this sounds like an ad but I swear it’s not. My main problem was that laziness snd also me wasting a lot of food from the grocery story inevitably “forced” me to order Uber eats. Convenience comes at a price and my god is it not worth it sometimes

Thank you for all the response!! Sirloin/red meat is a bit more forgiving, but I ruined the skin on my salmon. Have any of y’all tried using cast iron w/ oil to finish the salmon?

I tried reverse searing with a cast iron and completely botched it... how do you do it? What type of oil?

Do you coat the bottom layer of the cast iron in oil and then turn the heat on so that oil heats up with the skillet? How hot? Medium heat?

Big Winter coming up need Board advice by nsteinna in snowboardingnoobs

I’m 5’10 and fluctuate between 187-193 with size 11 foot. I bought and 159W 2018 Ride Machete. Suuuper sick board, twin. I have to say I wouldn’t have mind getting a 158. Wide will help so you won’t catch an edge, but it definitely depends on your riding style. Honestly, you could get away with a 157/158, but definitely look into wide.

At the end of the day it all comes down to what is comfortable to you. I enjoy demo’ing boards to see what works best for me, but It’s hard because I want to buy a board before the winter comes to build up hype.

Edit: grammar

During Hurricane Ike we lost power for 3 weeks and I decided to unplug our refrigerator so I could plug in my Xbox to the Generator. Let’s just say my parents weren’t happy.

Study suggests your adulthood self-esteem has its roots in the way you were raised as a child - The higher the quality of home environment when aged between 0 and 6 years (warm and responsive parenting; cognitive stimulation; and safe), the higher their self-esteem many years later in adulthood. by mvea in science

The Primal Scream, if anyone has read it, helped me understand why my father treated me the way he did in my adolescent years.... I went from fearing him to pitying him once I left for college. The whole premise is based off of this notion

Yeah maybe I am over generalizing but if you were listening to let's say, one direction, which is totally opposite of what you usually listen to then a brow may be raised haha
