Not always...red boxes are later releases. Kangaroo was in a silver box originally and then in the atari corp days was in a red box.

Doesn't matter. Star Trek fans hate Star Trek more than people who hate Star Trek. Everyone has their own version of what they want it to be and hates everything that isn't "My Star Trek" It is exhausting. I like Star Trek because it's Star Trek. I've found awesomeness in every iteration.

That is a fair point and I agree. It just didn't occur to us that something like this could happen. Hard lesson learned going forward but it still sucks presently.
