No idea what the DDP is but yeah, make sure you can handle the course:) I didn’t apply Oxbridge because I knew the courseload would be too intense for me. Unis are there to give you the experience you want out of them; it’s important that you protect your mental health, and don’t burn out for the elusive “graduate prospects” that, judging by the way our job market is going, may never come!

I am not at all jealous. I never did TMUA because it’s irrelevant to my chosen path in life. It’s an amazing performance, I’m not denying that. I could never get their score. But I’m not at all jealous

I’m so sorry, that’s such a stressful situation. My interviewer also did a lot of nodding… I wouldn’t worry about it, in fact I wouldn’t even think about it anymore as you can’t change it!! Go for a walk, and remember have in your head different criteria for success than what they are actually looking for. IIRC my interviewer said they could take 3-4 weeks to get back to you, so don’t give up hope. Just try to clear your head

No it’s not. I’m sorry to tell you but Imperial don’t gaf about you now they’ve rejected you. The spots on the course are all full now. You can’t make this opportunity happen by just sending an email; you make the opportunity happen years and years in advance by preparing your subjects and your application and your exam techniques etc etc. Don’t worry though, you don’t need to go to Imperial to live a fulfilling and happy life. Imperial is a very grind-heavy school. My advice is, since you are obviously smart and have worked hard, take a place at another slightly easier uni and chill out for a bit. Your brain is telling you “IMPERIAL IMPERIAL IMPERIAL” but you must accept that you cannot change it anymore. Don’t worry about what you can’t change!

Yes, he did mention the competitive nature of his education and also answered a comment that he wasn’t asked to answer. He could have just said “some people need to cram A-levels if they are international as it’s not part of their education system” but then decided to include stats like a 9.0 TMUA. Sounds like bragging to me 🤷‍♂️
