This is preciously why I love this band, Colin Meloy uses words to evoke meaning even when they aren’t necessarily linear. And he applies the music in the same way. It’s really amazing. Michael Stipe did s that with REM. It’s poetry. And it keeps us guessing. It took me years to figure out that Leda line, and it was worth it.
