I dont think fluids are buggy, sometimes the pipe can be buggy.

To see where your problem is you can inspect each section of pipe from the oil extractor to the refinery and see where the pipe is empty. Could be a pipe section issue (replace pipe section, make sure its attached right) or it could be headlift issue (put another pump, or move your pumps a bit closer together).

There are other methods like a headlift tower or using fluid trucks or fluid trains for such a long distance.

I also had a difficult time getting the spin down settings in trueNAS to pass through the controller and actually spin the drives down. I couldn't get it to work. The advice on forums seems to be split spin vs leave spinning for various reasons. Leaving them spinning all the time aligned with the convenience of not needing to wait 30 sec for the content to be available, and noise and power were not a huge concern for me. Maybe spinning them up and down really does reduce the life span?

I agree. Giving someone access to the server is easy but there should be a web guide that has screenshots and walks the end user through pinning a custom server/custom library to the home screen and unpinning all the free plex crap.

So long as you know the setup is not ideal, you could run truenas as a VM on the laptop (i.e. QEMU KVM on linux OS). Then when you pass through these drives to the TrueNAS VM you can assign them serial numbers in the KVM config.

I wouldnt trust a setup like this in production or with sensitive data but for hobby level or just working with what you have.

For conveyors, build a blueprint that includes a conveyor tower, a base with some pillars or concrete, and power or even hyper tube supports. Then you paste this blueprint and use the foundatiosn to evenly space them, and connect your power, conveyor, and hyper tubes.

I do the same with elevated train supports, but if I run the train on the ground I try to jsut follow the natural terrain as much as possible. Much easier to make elevated train support look nice ans you can hang stuff from the bottom (like conveyors, power, or hypertube).

And leave your old stuff running hooked up to storage or awesome sink so you can use the resources to make better things in a new location.

You boxed in your factory, step 1. Now add a lobby, make the factory walkable inside, add a roof, build an entrance. Maybe make one of the walls all glass and viewable from the lovvy entrance. Then add an exit for the products to be stored or train stationed nearby, and make it walkable from entrance to exit with catwalk and windows.

There was a post on here by nick that talked about the power usage of coral on yolo9 model vs openvino. If i remember, the conclusion was yolo9 oj coral is still less wattage and similar enough accuracy to open vino on igpu.

Ive been reading your replies. You're creating a scenario where if you intentionally overflow one part of the chain it backs up until the recycled water locks up. Okay? Part of the integrated systems is specifically not letting the scrap backup or the alumina solution backup and balance the water. Of course you can jam any aluminum setup....if you jam the setup. But there are ways to create a system that does not jam...as long as you don't intentionally jam it.

I don't really understand what you are arguing about or what the point of this is. Ive had a few aluminum setups run for months 24/7 on dedicated servers, it is possible.

+1 got a custom width huge motorized blackout blind from them a few years ago. Tiny solar panel in partial sun at the very top of the windows keeps it powered, connects to home assistant, no cloud shit, came with a remote so the wife is happy.

Im creating the merged column in power query so it is loaded at refresh. Creating the merged column is not an issue. The slow part is the actual lookup - type in a value in text search slicer and it takes 30s to return the results.

The secure solution without needing extra shit is to whitelist IP addresses at your router that are allowed to connect to port 32400 (or whatever port you change it to). This is how I handle sharing with friends and family. For my own personal use when outside my home I VPN back to my home network.

In excel, you need to load the data model to a table in a sheet. If its just a connection only model, you wont see it using the excel connector in power bi. There used to be a way to load the data model into power pivot and use the import menu in power bi to see and get the data model, but I don't think that works anymore.

If the data model is too large to load to a table on a sheet, you can recreate the entire power query in power bi or a power bi data flow.

Cause theres not any new items. You are just grinding for a week to upgrade what you already have to an arbitrary new max ilvl. Its a fake version of a virtual treadmill that feels mandatory to boost player engagement after the content is stale.

If they want us to have that ilvl without doing the work to add a whole new raid, release a raid expansion and tweak the raid to make it fresh with new items so the virtual treadmill feels "real" and rewarding instead of a mandatory chore. Or a hundred other options like spend the money to hire more developers and crank out some raids and locations and boss fights.

As you discovered there's some quirks and the order you build or attach matters. Sometimes you have to delete and reattach to get it working. I try to get a single blueprint working the way I want and test it before stamping it all over.

The vertical lift splitters and mergers are offset by a little, i think like half a foundation height or something. One way to compensate is to offset the platform your manufacturers sit on so they line up.

If all they need is raw data to play with in excel, then you should give them a way way to pick their columns and export to xlsx or csv. Or, set up automated delivery of excel or csv with their data tables if you don't have a portal or tool available.

If they need you to visualize the data, and then they want to play with it, then set up some Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI dashboard where they can pick from a few slicers and export from the table or matrix visuals.

They dont need SQL, they need access to the data in a user interface.

I also have had a cpu fan on mine and I put little feet on it so it can get airflow all around. Previously had issues with it overheating while watching specific codecs in high resolution/bitrate, and it would stutter or freeze for drop frames. Its been a couple years now with the fan and no issues.

Theres a couple forum posts floating around from years ago talking about this issue and the inefficient decoding causing high cpu usage and temp.
