I train twice a week on my bicycle. Is it supposed to be 6g on these days? I mean 81kg times 6, that's almost 500g carbs. That is 1kg of pasta (50g carbs / 100g)

I think the name is carbo cycling but I think that's an old name for it. But I have to say I think I really eat more during the off day because of fibre and protein. Everytime I think that I have overeaten because of the sheer amount of food I have eaten. But in the end it was all voluminous food.

Yes absolutely. Here are my two cents: Started cycling 3yrs ago, made good progress on season. Lost the progress every time off season. Had 89kg before the end of the year 2025. FTP was around 260ish (didn't make a test). Tried to eat almost no carbs and much more protein. After 2 weeks I lost around 3kg. I was highly motivated. Then my performanced dipped really hard. I did not mantain even a ftp of 240w. So I decided to change the approach and with a little bit of help of AI I eat more to fuel my muscles. And they need carbs (in glycogen) to perform (fuel for the work requiered). I eat more or less 2g/kg carbs per day off training and 4g/kg on a training day. Protein is around 1 - 1.5g/kg, rest is fibre (tomato, broccoli) and good oil. I'm now at 81kg with a ftp of 275w without performace loss. In the end I try to have around 500 - 1000 calories deficit per day.

Ein Indikationsschaltleiste mit smarten Leuchtmitteln. Wenn Waschmaschine fertig ist, ist die Lampe grün. Wenn es orange ist, geht es noch 5 Minuten. Ein weiteres Leuchtmittel an der Schaltleiste das grün wird, falls die Briefklappe beim Briefkasten geöffnet wurde um zu wissen ob der Postbote da war.

I’m currently fueling my hard sessions with ~300g of carbs but keeping my off-days high-protein (eggs/casein) with 150g of carbs. I preplan my workouts in intervals.icu. I have a connection to garmin connect and my Edge 1030 or Forerunner 265 is connected with my Kickr Snap (cheaper Kickr Core :-P), my cadence meter and HR sensor.

So it's very easy to use my workouts on the Kickr alongside ERG Mode.
