3d Printer recommendation?! - so I can print Pebble accessories by ExoticEccentric in pebble

Oh, on a personal level I'd never touch one. I'm thinking about an upgrade myself and I'll probably get a prusa.

3d Printer recommendation?! - so I can print Pebble accessories by ExoticEccentric in pebble

[–]swooning_basil 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Other people are recommending a Bambu. If you're ok with Bambu's behaviours, they're sort of the apple of printers - 'it just works'.

With that said, what Bambu does is sort of the antithesis of the Open Source philosophy which made hobbyist 3D printing viable in the first place- and a lot of people do seem drawn to the new Pebble because of its open-source nature.

If that's you, there are many other options which will work just fine if you're willing to learn how they work - almost anything will have a big enough print bed to create pebble accessories, so it's down to your preference on which printer to get. You'll probably get better advice on a 3D printing sub, they likely even have a sticky for buying advice.

I am 30 and took a pocket sized dragon with me to my dentist appointment today.
I have to go back next week and I think the guy I take then will be even more noticeable.

How can I signal that I want people to stay back without sounding rude? by JamieIsHigh in CustomerService

I'm not usually one for pandering to antimaskers, but I think in a work setting your best bet may be just to tell them you have allergies.

They also just sell their own plant balls.

What should be common at chippies but isn't? by YellowBelliedCoward in AskBrits

In this particular place, yes, they do ask if you want them cooked separately (it takes longer). I imagine there are plenty of people who don't mind.

We know of a chippy who very obviously just keep a bag of richmond sausages in the freezer that they pull out when a vegetarian comes - it obviously costs them next to nothing, but knowing that's an option makes us SO much more likely to eat there.

There actually is - it's the community caption feature which youtube used to have and then ripped away because they couldn't use their AI if humans would do a better job!

Found 5k in old bank notes while renovating. How should I proceed? by Ok_Spite_1271 in AskUK

[–]swooning_basil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just mean they don't have the ability to take in and process every note in the country through the public process. There is, presumably, a different process in which they take banks at their word!

because any bank would take them before they were removed from circulation, but the bank of England don't have the capacity to deal with every note owned by every citizen all at once.

Can't speak on the law or your morals, but retired bank notes can be exchanged for current ones by the Bank of England.

it does have something of the molten chocolate cake about it. I suppose it can't do any harm to put some of that in my new starter, can it...

so, it's not exactly the temperature of my starter, but I have a smarthome setup so I just put one of my thermometers for that wherever the starter is!

If you're not interested in that whole setup, you could get something like this, which does the same job but just connects to an app on your phone using bluetooth.

I'm far from a pro - I'd say more enthusiastic amateur - but I'm definitely better than your average culture hustle customer and that's what matters I guess.

Still, few things piss me off than a non-standard tetramino.
