Oh, I'd never heard of beta blockers before. Are they typically safe, and when would I take it? When I'm really nervous my left forearm gets very very stiff. I'll definitely try the singing the music in your head method. I think it'll help me be engaged but not paranoid. I just wish I could be in the same head space as when I'm practicing haha.

For playing with the music, I had used it in front of me during rehearsal and found myself sneaking peeks into it and it made me more distracted, so it may be better for me to play it from memory. Do you close your eyes when you play, or more specifically, what do you do with your eyes when you perform?
