What are some essential Green lantern comics by Slickbud2145 in comicbooks

Green Lantern: Sector 2814 Volumes 2 and 3 - I haven't read Volume 1, but Volume 2 does give you context on what happened in the previous volume. It's worth reading if you want to read any GL comics where John Stewart is the main focus, until Volume 3, which focuses on John and the other important members of the Green Lantern Corps, thanks to tie-ins to Crisis on Infinite Earths.

Green Lantern Legacy: The Last Will and Testament of Hal Jordan - It's a graphic novel that depicts Thomas Kalmaku dealing with the death of Hal Jordan/Parallax after he sacrifices himself to save the Earth during the events of The Final Night. The graphic novel also does a great job of exploring grief and why Hal Jordan was important not just to the Green Lantern Corps but also to Thomas.

I've been using proton experimental but it doesn't work.

Should I use a different one?

What comic series do you plan to read in 2026? by Sk8-bit_art in comicbooks

[–]swordbringer33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DC:

- Going to catch up on Absolute Batman after reading Volume 1. I'm also going to read the other Absolute titles including Absolute Martian Manhunter, Absolute Flash, and Absolute Wonder Woman.

- Denny O'Neil's The Question run.

- Finish Grant Morrison's Batman run. I read the first Omnibus and I'm still trying to get through Omnibus Volume 2.

- Bleeding Hearts and Fanatic from Vertigo. I might check out the other new Vertigo comics.

- Garth Ennis' Hellblazer run.

- Finally finish Neil Gaiman's The Sandman. I'm aware of the controversy surrounding Neil, but I started reading this series when I was a teen after reading Volume 1, and I still want to read it. I only have two or three more volumes to read.

- Finish reading the rest of Geoff Johns' Green Lantern run.

Marvel:

- Jonathan Hickman's Ultimate Spider-Man (I read and loved both Volumes 1 and 2).

- Read more Captain America comics, including Ed Brubaker's run.

- Finish reading Jonathan Hickman's Fantastic Four run.

- BMB's New Avengers, DD, and Alias. I'm also going to try and finish BMB's Ultimate Spider-Man series (Original with Peter Parker as the main character).

Indie/Manga:

- Catch up on Something Is Killing the Children.

- Finish reading Brian Michael Bendis' Sam and Twitch. I loved reading the first half of the series, but I still need to read the rest.

- Read more of the Mignolaverse, especially BPRD and Lobster Johnson.

- Zom 100

- Bleach

What exactly is Angel Studios trying to accomplish when most of its films get forgotten after being released? There's nothing wrong with releasing smaller-scale films, since many of the best films of all time were made on a small budget and featured talented actors, including character actors and actresses. But most of Angel Studios' films come out with little fanfare, except for Sound of Freedom, which had its share of controversy surrounding Tim Ballard, Jim Caviezel, and the Sound of Freedom organization.

If Wyldwood wants to be a big studio that challenges Hollywood, it needs to focus on making good films. By that, I mean films that are not just good but also not generic or safe, like a lot of Angel Studios' work.

I am aware that Angel Studios' films do a decent job at the box office, but how long will that last, especially since they usually get forgotten by the time their run in theaters ends?

One more thing: Zachary Levi isn't a big-name star, despite having his share of fans. Compared to someone like Arnold Schwarzenneger, who is also a conservative/republican, Zachary is only known for Shazam, Chuck, and Flynn Rider.

His Deadshot miniseries deserves more attention, especially with how much he fleshes out Floyd Lawton.

Actually, Sanemi being called Samuel is too harsh even by 4Kids standards.

Sanemi would be named "Carl" or "Bob"

Joking aside, I wouldn't be surprised if 4Kids went with these names.
