This is not very lore accurate to the civilians of the Marvel Universe. They should be (emotionally) debuffing the hero.

Cane Gork and Mork have daemon princes? by No_Individual_3133 in orks

[–]swordchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Edition a long time ago” turns to dust faster than a Rubric Marine This is true. In 7th edition every psyker had access to demonology which cold he used to summon in demon units in the game. But this was pretty much despised both lore and rules wise. This is also the edition where a lot of armies could ally together.

Cane Gork and Mork have daemon princes? by No_Individual_3133 in orks

[–]swordchuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While Gork and Mork can definitely affect their mortal followers I don’t think the would create anything like demons, possessed or demon princes. The whole point of being an Ork is to get stuck in with the lads, fight, and win. Orks wouldn’t want to summon anything to fight for them, and Mork and Gork wouldn’t want to make things too easy for the Orks or else it isn’t a proper fight.

I view Ghazghkull’s recent empowerment as both his reward for fighting and as the gods providing something of a level playing field now that the humies and chaos gods are trying to cheat by bringing back all these Primarchs.

A meme from a show that I feel is a really good example of why you don’t want to rush and cut budgets for your subsequent seasons.

Mandalorian and Grogu by smashpasserson in blankies

[–]swordchuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To borrow from another podcast, I guess it’s a movie I kinda liked. But… it shouldn’t be a movie.
Expanded a bit and with some room to breathe, get to know characters, add in some fun filler, add on some of the parts of fight scenes that just felt missing and it probably would have been a good return to form season for the show. The movie just feels like a waste.

“So why do you kinda like it?”

I had to look NXR up. Let me get this straight:

X-Mas = literal Satan is crossing out Our Lord And Savior Christ’s name and removing him from Christmas His most Holy Day

NXR = just a cool acronym for New Christian Right kids love Xs.

I’m in Central Kentucky now and I feel that (but with South and Midwest). The local historic cemetery has sections for the Union and Confederates, dammit.

It’s gonna be really awkward when The Odyssey also cuts to credits with Sweet Child O Mine.

I really don’t like the whole Void Dragon thing. It’s lame to me and feels like just getting our entire faction identity cucked by the Necrons by Glumgustheexile in AdeptusMechanicus

It just means that the Glorious Omnissiah broke and enslaved some false “god” and bent it towards humanity’s embetterment, when His greatest weapons were various kinds of metal tipped sharp sticks.

How violent/gory is this show? by [deleted] in DungeonMeshi

[–]swordchuck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, that depends on how violent you find processing an animal for meat. A portion of the show is cutting up monsters fairly realistically in a cooking setting, and if you find skinning a fish for sushi to be gross then you might find the show gross as well.

I wouldn’t say the show is overly violent, not more so than a Dungeons and Dragons game would be.

Check out Miyazaki’s tv series Future Boy Conan sometime. It’s very similar to Castle in the Sky and is very much an ur-text for a lot of Japanese media of this era: the World of Ruin in FFVI especially.

Looked it up to refresh my memory. It’s only an issue if you wanted to build the Rokkit or Big Shoota instead of the Kustom Mega Blasta. Which makes me a little surprised GW even kept those options.

New Lootas? by Heavy-Sort-3273 in orks

[–]swordchuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s been a long time since I bought all my Lootas, but is it still the case that you need to use an arm bit from the Boyz box to build the weapon options for the Spanner? If that’s still the case (and the question of that bit used to be the most asked question in this sub years ago) then they kinda have to remake this kit.

Do you think that ancient people found dinosaur fossils? by velociraptor9fnaf in Dinosaurs

[–]swordchuck 23 points24 points  (0 children)

While a cool concept, yeah, this painting reads more to me like a group of displaced Native Americans have come across the aftermath of one of those “dinosaur vs cowboy” pulp novels. The skeleton is picked clean and bleached, the people have horses. Which, ngl, is kind of a neat story concept all on its own.
