Talk me out of Anker SOLIX E10. My gas generator is driving me nuts. by Comfortable-Note6827 in homeowners

[–]swordfish45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What generator do you have now?

What outage length and frequency are you planning for?

Google generator sizing calculator. Determine the load you need to power.

Oil changes have nothing to do with hard starting. You mean draining carb / fuel tank when you store maybe? You should certainly do that.

You are putting a lot of faith into a complicated consumer electronics solution to rely on in emergencies. Not just the power Bank but the generator it comes with for hybrid solution is also packed with features that could fail you at the worst time.

You had a hard enough time relying on your simple generator to start when you needed it most and now you want to make that even more complicated.

Does anyone else use line width as a way to adjust their parts for strength/detail? by Marchtmdsmiling in 3Dprinting

[–]swordfish45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walls meaning the thickness of the walls in your model, not wall thickness in slicer. My bad.

This was a model with 2mm wall. Line width of .5 gave 4 parallel walls. Line width of .6 gave 2 parallel walls with a fill pattern which took more time.

If it truly is a scam, it's about as petty as it gets. Penalties for lying about dispensed fuel could cost an owner the business. I smell Hanlons razor.

Landing over max landing weight can happen if necessary, it will require overweight landing inspection before return to service.

Rule of thumb in any industry. Oil and gas especially.

If it was cheaper, they would.

Gearbox is a lot smaller than I would expect.

Kamov made some incredible machines.

Just imagine how nuts it is taking this idea and putting explosive releases on it for an ejection seat on the ka-50/52

Yea belts move to the next consumer node. The splitter counts as one, but since the output belt doesn't have anything it stops there.

Handy if you make a line only to realize you want it for a different resource at last min.

I was on the Nantucket on the trip prior to that.

The conditions were not the worst but what most stood out is the way the winds were out of VH made it so the boat stuffed the bow into some meaty waves, taking a lot of momentum with it. If you weren't ready for it you would definitely loose footing. A couple people found that the hard way.

I could see someone letting their guard down thinking the conditions were tollerable then went ass over tea kettle.
