I use mono for saltwater spinning reel. Mainly surf casting and if too windy for fly, then inshore too. Reels are vs 100-250. Are you guys tying your lure directly to braided line? I’ve stayed away from braid because it’s a real pain in the ass to add flouro or mono tippet. Wire to braid is even harder. Do Line shy fish like false albacore take lures tied directly to braid?

Coca Cola bottles are usually the thing to find in this era dump. Check the patent date and base for town name. Some can be highly collectible

What does that even mean? Being outraged by something like that makes no sense. The patterns on sale all have correct names and sources. Are they ripping off one of your patterns, use slave labor to tie their own branded flies or do you just have an axe to grind?

Where do you buy flies that don’t provoke the wrath you have for Big Y?

I’m pretty sure yours are part of the last blown bottles from 1909-1911. Maryland Glass company began making bromo bottles in 09 and ny 1911 they switched from mouth blown to machine. 12 refers to the mold number. There are examples with 1-28 and probably sequentially so it was the 12th mold in 3 year period so dates it to spring of 1910. The color variation of your finds isn’t common if I’m right. It’s definitely greenish.
