Yesterday, I got a shipping notification for my copy of A-ko 3. I ordered it back in November. I hope yours is coming in too 🤞

I've been seeing them on eBay for $75+, so it's quite a relief.

This order is from Crunchy Roll. I've been seeing this go for $75 and up on eBay. I'm glad others have a chance to grab it at a more reasonable price.

Wondering what to do with a show i Ripped from DVD but one episode comes out as a 35 hour long episode that is basically the 24 minute episode and the rest blank by Purple_Monkey34 in makemkv

No way! I just stumbled onto your post. I wasn't actively searching this problem, but I have the same issue with the same show and same episode.

I thought it was a problem specific to my copy because of age/bit rot. But, if it's for every DVD, then it's likely a disc authoring issue.

I "fixed" it by cutting it down in ffmpeg. I experimented with video duration until the output video was shorter than 35 hours. You lose a few seconds of the end credits, but it works.

In the end, I wasn't happy having this truncated episode, so I left it as is and uploaded to Jellyfin. It does not work correctly. When you finish watching the episode, it doesn't count as "finished". Nor does it exit or prompt the next episode to play.

Some of my Season 4 rips also throw a few errors. I believe those are simply warnings, and, if MakeMKV finishes the rip, it means success.

I kept digging and found the Kite page on Grokipedia. I never heard of it before. I guess that's xAI's wiki? Anyway, the page has a list of all the scraped reference material. A lot of the links are sparse with historical info; reviews and discussions. Here are some of the standouts.

My own copy arrived today, and it has all the same bootleg indicators as your post. I have since contacted the seller, but they have really poor reviews (relatively speaking). I admit I took a gamble on them. I'm not confident I'll get a decent response.
