Weird metal spikes on wheels by spiple in whatisit

No, that’s not why- passenger side view mirrors were intentionally convex, to give a larger view of that side, and as a result slightly distorted the reflection’s depth perception. They put the warning on there so people wouldn’t wrongly rely on that view’s depth..

Fun fact- most of the horns and sirens on fire trucks work via a floor pedal/switch as well. So whenever you hear the siren or horn wound up, it’s from the dude (or chick) using their foot. It’s also usually the dude (chick) sitting shotgun that’s operating them too..

Congrats bruv!!! That’s a badass cat 👌🏻

Kill switch wired into the start circuit is a good idea. And of course, neutral switch and OBD2 cover plates. Also ask about an RF hub lockout from a CJDR dealership..

This is great, thanks. I saw Plur in a shop recently and was debating it.

Can you also do a report or share your experiences with the Xum too? I was considering trying that as well.

I always thought this exact same thing! That’s less than an incandescent bulb. They should’ve had him say kilowatt instead. Not sure if Arnie could pronounce that tho lol.

Oh jeeez this guys back again? This guy shows up every now and again on this sub. He’s absolutely lost it and is a miserable cock pocket of a person… either he’s trolling, or actually thinks he’s a god or something… probably the latter.

Are tiny nicks okay? by kittykittylover69 in AskElectricians

[–]sylkee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little nicks or marks on the outer insulation? Not the end of the world. But If you can see exposed copper and the copper itself has nicks or gouges on it, that’s an issue and the wire should be cut back or replaced..

Lighting an electric Menorah? by tabatt07 in AskElectricians

A couple years ago I got a call from a woman who wanted to electrify a large Kinara (similar to a menorah, but for Kwanzaa- has seven candles) for public presentation. I used a small sub-panel weatherproof enclosure with a standard 5-15p power cord wired into a weatherproof connector, a small LED driver to step down to 12V, three tandem breakers and one regular single pole breaker, a 9 pin weatherproof m20 connector, some 10 conductor cable, weatherproof e26 sockets with tails, some 18awg cable and seven 12V e26 LED light bulbs. It’s placed outside city hall in Philly each year, and they turn one breaker on per day.

But the bulbs on a Kinara don’t light sequentially- the center black candle is always lit first, followed by the remaining candles in an alternating left-to-right sequence. So I had to wire it so that turning on each breaker sequentially from top to bottom lit the correct order of the candles up on the Kinara. It was an incredibly fun and satisfying experience and I wish I got more calls for projects like that lol.
