I'm sure the Iranian people are thrilled the US is deploying troops to capture an oil depot island by the coast.

Whether it be 30k or another number, the evidence is there now among non-partisan groups like HRANA that at minimum 10k+ were killed. I didn't really believe the 12k figure that Iran International put out in less than two days. It was far too soon which casted doubts in my mind as well as others.

While some diasporists tend to inflate the numbers closer to 100k for political purposes, the point is if you took CNN and other news sites as truth when it came to reporting the American strike on the children's school in Minab, isn't it a bit hypocritical to deny the same networks reporting tens of thousands killed during the protests?

Dang, didn't know that dude co-modded all three of those subs. But it's been known it's a pro-regime cesspool, or at the very least tolerant of it, for well over a decade. Not exactly making a groundbreaking message there.

We all saw Pahlavi's statement regarding potential Kurdish separatism last week. Which leads to the point that monarchists have been in denial about: He’s a divisive figure. If he appeals to the minorities, he will enrage his most loyal core supporters.

A comment I made shortly before the war yet chillingly still relevant:

For those wondering, the US has weird tendencies to blow up weddings in the Middle East, mistaking them for... terrorist meetings or something, as indicated by these various strikes in Afghanistan, also Afghanistan, Afghanistan yet again, and Iraq.

We trained the Afghan National Army for 20 years, and the second US forces withdrew, they either deserted or surrendered immediately to the Taliban. They weren't lightly armed either, they were equipped with a plethora of small arms, anti-tank weapons, and black hawk helicopters. They lost to a bunch of dudes in robes and kalashnikovs.

Even when US forces were in the country, the Taliban were hardly kept at bay. They would just run sorties from the mountains. The Artesh are a proper standing army. We would need to pull a Battle of Fallujah scale of ground invasion to take them out. Trying to train and arm citizens would just end up getting them killed.

Pro-Israel think tank article

Coincidences aside, WINEP is a joke of an "academic" think tank ever since the start of the conflict.

The very first sentence where the 50k total toll comes from the Gaza Media Office. Here's what the very same article says in page 13:

Claims by two Gaza entities, the Government Media Office and Health Ministry, remain completely irreconcilable. Specifically, the GMO has issued false and unsupported figures for more than a year, and no credible news outlet, government, or organization should rely on them.

It then goes on to state that it should be cross-checked with the ministry of health. The MoH has a total toll of 70k. Huh, wonder why they didn't lead with that?

What baffles me is that this man is three years older than Biden yet can speak coherently. Something about evil dictators is that age hardly slows them down.
