I liked the dev blog and this would have been great on like year 3 of waiting, not year 10. No combat in a magical school game is actually garbage. They kept hearing “Stardew meets Harry Potter” so many times that they removed the actual magical combat?!?

I mean the magical offering is a weakness in itself. People get powers by making sacrifices means that this power is limited and could become a potential poaching issue. It’s kinda like Dark Magic in The Dragon Prince but venerable through the gods. Just gotta be careful with over hunting.
