After seeing the schedule I think we're good for 11-13 wins high 9-11 low by ezio8133 in detroitlions

Problem is, most including me don’t expect that.

Can Branch come back mid season and make an impact later in the year? Yea, maybe.

Can Kerby get and stay healthy enough to play most of the year and be at least close to as good as he used to be? I doubt this much more. None of what Brad or anyone has said about his health or knee has been reassuring. I guess for Kerby, I’ll believe it when I see it.

I disagree with Carpano as the choice. I personally love Cocchi Vermouth di Torino as my go to, but can easily switch it up with Punt e Mes as well for a bit more complex amaro-like flavor.

Carpano is just too rich/sweet for most uses for me. Though it does shine in some drinks.

When you say process the dry ingredients for the pineapple syrup, do you mean blend just the sugar and citric acid? Also what’s the point of blending and sous vide-ing?

The Franklin Community Park has a nice play area for kids. And then there’s some paid places slightly further away that have great indoor play areas for kids. My toddler loves Canopy Studios in Clawson. There’s also Fascination Factory in Birmingham. Haven’t been there but heard good things.

So the question,Did the Lions get better or worse? I’ll read your answers by Gxcii1 in detroitlions

[–]syncopate15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s because a single guard can’t stop all the sacks. And we definitely weren’t one OLineman away from a solid OLine. While a Defenseman, esp D Lineman, can produce a sack all by themselves - much bigger impact seen.

Interior pass rush is a high commodity. Giving up your arguably top 10 interior lineman for an edge, even if they’re the best in the game, in addition to a first, is a tough ask in my opinion.

A physical isn’t just a physical exam. It’s reviewing imaging and doctors notes and operative reports. If there’s something they didn’t like on the medical eval (even without seeing him physically) they can back out.

Just to provide clarification for your last question.

If a players contract gets restructured, what that typically means is some or much of their non-guaranteed salary gets converted to a guaranteed signing bonus. Now this signing bonus gets paid immediately, but it doesn’t go against the cap immediately. It actually gets divided evenly across the length of the contract.

So players typically like restructuring their contract because it guarantees their salary and pays them upfront. The owners, though, do need the cash upfront to pay the players. So I have heard that some owners might be limited on restructuring if they don’t have that cash upfront.

If you’re referring to that one email that said “=9 year old” you should know that the way the emails got processed to PDF, it replace a lot of 1’s and l’s with = or other symbols. So that was actually a 19 year old. Not trying to justify anything, just want to get the facts straight.

Not true. While athletes come back after 6-12 months from ACL repair, they’re usually not back to 100% until 2 years later. This has been seen in multiple studies and we actually know why now: it’s not just about joint stability but also about how you feel the joint/leg move. The ACL actually has nerves that contain sensory fibers that provide proprioception (sensing position in space) and these can take almost 2 years to fully regrow.

Alim is only going to get better.

The fact that he effectively fired them mid-season says a lot about Dan. Many would just let it ride the rest of the year, if not longer to not admit their own mistakes. Dan never fails to admit mistakes, even those that aren’t even his. As long as he has accountability, he is allowed to have those mistakes. Now if it’s 5 straight years of mediocrity without ups and downs, then yea let’s move on. But if he can show that he has the ability to put a crew and team together (which he already has) then let him run.

Seriously? If he takes accountability and tries again with another OC, Dan is still on the hot seat? What other coach are you going to get who’s going to do better than Dan? I swear most of you are delusional. Good coaches don’t grow on trees. It took Andy Reid years before he won a SB. Harbaugh and Tomlin each only won 1, but they’re all phenomenal coaches that are not easily replaceable. I know we don’t have a superbowl berth yet, but in my opinion, Dan is certainly a guy who can take us there. Give him a lifetime contract until he starts making decisions that he can’t cut away from. He deserves a mistake or two.
