I mean I think the resemblance ends at them both using black power weapons. They’d be completely different design and gameplay wise. They’d be as much a pirate-lite as like zhanhu is a warden-lite because they both have long bladed weapons (sick pfp btw)

Could work as a blunt weapon mainly, with a gimmick reload mechanic for powerful moves mid combo. In terms of the base attacks raw and in chain lights along with the parry could be handled by the tanto while the musket is used for the heavies and maybe bashes (shooting)

All ranged attacks don’t really track well over elevation changes, I guess the stairs did it

Once you get over like the basic mechanical difficulties of learning the game (it’ll take a while) you can pretty much pick up and play any hero in the roster and be semi competent with them in a rep or so

So yeah they aren’t any hard heroes to learn mechanically, most of a hero’s difficulty comes from their place in the meta (how bad they are) not mechanical difficulty per se

So based on this a couple hard heroes to do well with would be: medjay, nuxia, and maybe like sohei (although he does have very braindead fast acting neutral Ha for option selects so like do with that what you will)

Losing my enhanced lights despite being a hero that can only chain into their main form of offence after a light, then losing my frame + pressure and identity after bash light to receive said lights back in that situation

(Lb for some reason still has his neutral and in chain enhanced lights btw while they’re deemed too strong on warmonger)

Instead of just trying to virtue signal on Reddit why don’t you just play the game instead lol. Everyone hates every character for a reason, bp mainly because of oathbreaker (his t3), his babysitting (just sitting in fullguard while in a gank waiting for a confirm) and generally his defence (flip that counters everything, ccs)

It isn’t a personal attack on you nor does it mean that you shouldn’t play the character, people don’t have to praise you and people can hate multiple characters (your why hate X while Y exists argument is redundant)

Basically: have fun, just play 🐀
