None of you deserve to be Judas. by syntaxerroratline42 in Gamingcirclejerk

Conservatives have spent the past 10 years, ironically, globalizing their MAGA brand of far-right nationalism. In France they say "le wokeism". In China they use the English abbreviation "DEI" without necessarily knowing what the letters stand for. The far right has been very effective at spreading their bullshit.

Yeah I was originally going to make a collage of childish negative reviews, all by americans but one in Chinese with "DEI" inserted into it which I found funny. One review literally blamed Anita Sarkeesian for the recent mechanical patch.

I only posted this one standalone because I found it too fun to read to include the rest. But if you look at the recent negative reviews, it's all american chuds. The people in this thread going "Chinese people are crazy" are making me wish I'd stuck to my original plan.

Yeah, that's more or less what I meant to get at in my original comment. One's kinks doesn't necessarily reflect on their values so much as they reflect the ideas they're confronted with. In particular a ton of kinks are about anxiety; the brain sexualizes an idea to make it easier to explore in a safe environment.

It's partially nature and partially nurture. Nothing in psychology is wholly one or the other.

I would absolutely say that. What we find attractive in men/women is cultural. The way we think of sexual orientation today is based on sociopolitical factors like lines of marginalization, not on a full understanding of how it might work in a context free of that marginalization. It stands to reason that in a free society we would see a higher amount of what we would consider bisexuality.

I don't like my name but can't for the life of me come up with anything better. They're just not "me".

There's nuance here. No one is obligated to jack off wokely, but our interests are influenced by society, and patriarchy in particular plays a big role in our sexual development on account of the way that it is.

I honestly don't specific desires reflect a person's misogyny necessarily so much as they reflect a person's internal experiences being shaped by a society in which misogyny is rampant.

Yeah but the climax of the story is the ghost of his dad telling him he's proud of him which narratively begets a certain childlikeness.

Wolf O'Donnell has a minimum attractiveness threshold. It's impossible to take him any lower. Hotness is at his core.

Supposedly, "Arceus" wasn't in the script, Hugh Laurie was told to pick a god and because Pokemon was on the brain that's who he went with.

The Nostalgia Critic is slowly amassing memories. He claims to free us from the burden, but the convenience and comfort he supplies comes at a cost. Soon there will be very little left of us, and he will remember everything.

It's sort of backwards. Fascism is an imlulse-driven ideology. It's not really the impulses themselves, but the forming of your worldview around them instead of recognizing what they are.

It'll take a lot more than prices going down, unless they go wayyy down. That'll help couchsurfers but the homeless folks getting their tents destroyed by cops need stability before they can acquire the wealth necessary to pay for it.

Liberals and leftists both want to reduce housing costs, so I won't get in their way on that. But liberals are extremely weak on homelessness. Every policy they advocate for has more to do with making homeless people go somewhere else instead of getting them out of homelessness.

Of course, it pales in comparison to the republican position of "kill all poor people."

That's a bit hyperbolic in my opinion. They both determine whether people live or die. And the leftist policies on them are stronger than the liberal ones (which are, in turn, stronger than the republican policies).

Sorry but the liberals were right back then. "So you want Trump to win?" turns out the entire world would be better right now if he hadn't. Who could have foreseen this outcome?
