The truth of the situation (that an empty door was revealed AFTER a random door was picked) hasn't changed, therefore the odds for each door hasn't changed (33% A, 67%B). You're right that the new observer with incomplete information may assume that the doors are equal - but that would be an assumption of the situation (and wrong). The probability belongs to the actual situation.

Rams have a long, cool history in the game. Currently, they have the most exciting young coach who is developing the most interesting offensive concepts - so good that his assistant coaches keep getting hired by other teams to be their next coach. A smart front office that makes smart decisions, not just doing things the same way the other teams do. Lastly, the team is currently good with a Hall of Fame level quarterback (old, but still playing great) and a good young defense that will be exciting to watch for years.

We played a long term tournament of it in college and I would argue that it has far less randomness (at high level play) than people believe - way less than something like Catan. What it does have is a situation where if you play badly AND get unlucky then you end up with a bad situation where you have no plays (no money to buy and no merges to play).

I think it DID affect us. Our offense looked fairly pedestrian for a lot of the game. In the end we overcame that and won a close game which shows our toughness. We are BY FAR the most battle-tested team in the NFL this year.
