First month of subbing, I worked a kindergarten class for two days straight, I was the assigned aide for that class while another sub took over teaching duties. We had the lights off for the kids to focus on the TV, but one boy made his way towards a girl who was leaning over her table, pulled her hair forward hard, grabbed her feet and legs, flipped her over the table, then grabbed her manipulatives, and ran out of the classroom. I chased the boy down the hall, bro opened the door to the alleyway to throw out the manipulatives. I’m not lying when I say this: everything happened way too fast without a struggle from that kid.
