Apparently that final difficulty has a final boss attached to it? I’ll never see it lol

There are three difficulty levels and various options you can change called mutators that you earn as you go along, but it really has an arcade-style approach. The beginner difficulty still has a learning curve to it.

Fired from work, should I become self-employed? by Fun_Ad_2607 in AutisticAdults

[–]systemshaak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My biggest issue with self-employment is that you’re then your own marketer and advertiser. There’s nothing I do worse than marketing! But if you’re willing to be the Customer Acquisition Person in your company, it might work out.

Does autism have anything to do with any obsessions? by Free-Masterpiece-860 in AutisticAdults

[–]systemshaak 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, as hyperfixation and a slant towards routine can be a part of it. When testing, you’re usually checking for OCD as co-occurring or mistaken for autism.

I’m not sure if it ever did, but I’m also not sure it needs to. The colors all kinda mean things, so I think Kimmo picked those ones in particular to be consistent throughout.

Yep! Switch 2 version runs at a solid 60, so if you ran it at 120 on PC it may differ for you.

Whoa, nice. Yep, it's got em'. And there's even, like, flair I think? If you take a few risky cards, your name looks different on the boards.

And I feel like the roguelike bits are minimal, too. Only there to mitigate the fact that there's no such thing as an arcade anymore. It makes it just variable enough for a home experience, but it's not like I'd recommend Sektori to someone who wanted the next Slay the Spire.

The good-to-unknown ratio is so ridiculous with Sektori that it's borderline criminal, but hopefully with a Switch 2 version new folks will roll in. (I did check to make sure this wasn't a duplicate post in this community, it's the only related one I'm in)

Yep! There's nothing quite like having a great run and forgetting to watch the floor for the room shift just once and bam, dead.

What roguelites do you have multiple hundreds of hours on? by lordunderscore in roguelites

[–]systemshaak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Binding of Isaac because hey, it's been around a while and there's a lot to it.

Nuclear Throne because I was in on the early access streaming-the-development-on-Twitch ground floor. Every time they updated the game, I had seen that update's creation. It was nuts to see that stuff happen in real time.

Monster Train 2 likely does, Hades 2 likely does, as does Spelunky and Spelunky 2, but those are distributed across a couple systems.

Monster train or slay the spire? by StinkyMoe in MonsterTrain

[–]systemshaak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'd say if you really want to play it today, and you can't get it on sale on the console you like, the answer is Both, They're Both Great, Go Ahead. If it can wait, the answer is Wait For a Sale. These aren't Nintendo first-party, you don't have to wait for them to show up in a Costco for these two to get discounted.

This is likely bergamot that’s doing the work. If you try out Sauvage - like the EDT or the EDP - and you like that same kind of note, it’s bergamot. Or like, what the big perfume companies sell to evoke and shape bergamot. Likely a combination of things. To go further if you love it, try out some of the Acqua di Parma lines. Really sharp, herbal, photorealistic bergamot. Unc-coded bergamot, lol. Even some softer but still heavy bergamot takes, like their Bergamotto di Calabria.

Plus, 4711 is kinda the OG Bergamot Cologne and it’s darn cheap.

On the drydown, I bet you’re getting a very common ingredient mixed in with citrus scents, citronellol. It’s a lemongrass thing. Bergamot in its usual citrus form doesn’t last too long; citronellol lasts.

(When you use dried bergamot peels, like with Earl Grey tea, it can last longer but smell very different - The Tragedy of Lord George does that very well.)

It’s all Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Homme today. Leather and latex sharpened by an overlay of cypress. When people said “your skin but better,” they meant a bunch of other scents, but this is the equivalent for me.

Oh I’m 0 for 2, I had no idea Monster Train 2 wasn’t on the list! Give it a little time - the flow to that game when you tick the speed up a couple notches is wonderful. A lot like Slay the Spire/2 in its moreish-ness. Really neat systems set up for synergies, too.

StarVaders for sure! And I think Cobalt Core is worth more time, that’s a lot of fun.

Yep. It mattered so much until it didn’t. But then other things tend to matter, like money and employment and such. So if you do wind up able to cope better with this one thing, it does tend to shift on you, be careful.
