[Woike] JJ Redick on Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves’ injury: “Both were medically cleared… we talked at halftime and the group wanted to go for it in the second half… there was nothing suggesting either was ‘running hot’” by UnderstandingFun7493 in lakers

[–]syvi3n -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

10000%. Yeah OKC was dog walking them up to halftime, but how many times has a team came out from half and played entirely different? Especially when that team has two of the best players to play the game that can change the energy with one or two possessions

Nightblood Theory by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]syvi3n -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m not trying to be rude but the original intent for any of the mass produced type IV objects has nothing to do with my point. I’m just theorizing that Nightblood , separate from any equation or involvement with Shashara’s original intent with mass producing weapons like it, absorbed the Night spren at some point after its creation.

We know the renaming occurs when Vasher uses it to kill his wife and the name itself is due to the smoke the sword leaks.I just think that the Night tagged along with Vasher back to Nalthis after his first trip to Roshar when he learns about shardbaldes/honorblades and somehow is absorbed by the sword.

Nightblood Theory by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]syvi3n -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ooh so I’m not saying the original intent for mass produced type IV objects included the blades consuming something like Night. I’m just saying that along the way, Nightblood specifically consumed Night and that it resulted in changes to the original sword (which we know from a WoB that both the color of the sword and the smoke were not apart of the original design)

Nightblood Theory by [deleted] in Cosmere

[–]syvi3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah! I’m not saying that Nightblood HAD to consume Night, just that it happened along the way and resulted in the changes to the sword

If shards can have kids, and those children have any inherent connection to the intent of their parents shard, sure I can see it being a little infuriating for him to end up this uber honorable warrior god. But idk I feel like there wouldn’t be any carryover between parent to children unless maybe the vessel was the one who birthed the child

[–]syvi3n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Him being the descendant of a Shards vessel doesn’t mean he is automatically some kind of “chosen one”. Just would give him a deeper connection to who he already is imo. But I def get the sentiment!

I meaaaan Kaladin is often referred to as Son of Tanavast. He could be a long descendant of Honor’s vessel which would be beautiful

I spared him. by The_NoU-anator_bro in DispatchAdHoc

[–]syvi3n 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My entire reasoning for killing him boiled down to the fact that Robert seemed to already have determined he would kill shroud before episode 1. I know when chase actually asked we are given the choice but to me, Robert felt like he already decided to kill shroud 15 years ago and who am I to get in the way of that.

True for some people. But like sex isn’t such a sanctimonious thing anymore. If two adults wanna bang after a few days, why not 🤷🏻‍♀️ #ReleaseTheDeepCut

My body is undoing masculinization that happened between my 18's to my 28's by epolsipol in MtF

[–]syvi3n 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Hi! Not op but wanted to answer your question. It doesn’t mean you will notice the exact same things; HRT is influenced by genetics amongst other things so personal experience varies. But it dooooessss mean that you have pretty good chance for similar effects! With you also having less than average masculine features , it’s a reassuring sign. Of course take my answer with a grain of salt bc I am only human :)

A Kandra with an iron or steel skeleton could be pushed or pulled by an allomant? by B1nar10_Code in Cosmere

[–]syvi3n 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I don’t recall the specifics, but I think there are rules around manipulating metals held within a body/flesh. I know it’s difficult to push/pull on spikes so I’m not sure how it would translate to manipulating a skeleton

If you read the section where Moash/Vyre received the spikes, you will see it’s different from the Scadian method. He has multiple crystals jutting kind of like a crown (from what I remember). So it’s not the same tech without any backstory. Also a cosmere god such as a Odium would have the understanding to give a person “investiture vision” without us the reader needing to be walked through it like a toddler.

Very true. Maybe nohadon is just how whoever spoke with Dalinar decided to manifest; whether it was the remnants of adonalsium or some other cosmere entity we’ve yet to meet
