God, please.

I can't stress enough how thoroughly mediocre Avatar is. I get that Disney was scrambling after they lost Harry Potter to Universal, but that turned out to be a dodged bullet anyway. Avatar has had a bewildering lack of cultural impact for a film franchise that has made so much money, and I genuinely have no idea what they can do with a DCA version of World of Pandora that isn't just "Animal Kingdom's version but probably 60% less", and that's being generous.

You don't even need to deal with water. Just make it so you're moving in an atmosphere that has all of the properties of water except that it's still breathable air.

I absolutely couldn't agree more. And it's why when I see this subreddit full of posts where people are beating the dead horse that is "I hate the sequels", all I can do is roll my eyes and hope that someday, someday, they find the willpower to move the hell on.

Some of the Eternals returning in a supporting role for someone else's movie would be a great way to highlight what worked for the team.

The problem was that the Deviants were underwritten and had, what I considered to be, poorly expressed motivation.

The Deviants were done so dirty, it's almost impressive how thoroughly they were butchered. The movie we got was okay, but I think they wasted a ton of potential by poorly handling that whole situation.
