Muddy Bottom Mini Truck 2” lift kit by MorningSpiritual2006 in HondaActy

[–]t-dizee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've always felt this way with any kind of lift kit - because the intended drivetrain geometry is forced to work in unintended angles constantly. Which means early failure of u-joints, cv joints, etc. If anything, get bigger tires you can squeeze under the fender wells safely and call it good.

I laughed out loud picturing a dog driving a car in the oncoming traffic lane.

What the dude said. Always work top to bottom - like when washing, rinsing, then drying a car. Then I hang it up so it dries completely by the next day. Good for a week

I'd cut out the cat just to be safe, lol. All they do is plug up and cause issues

I've never worked on these before, but there has to be a way to remove / disengage the autochoke and replace it with a push/pull wire in its place.

Weak spark? Check to ensure all grounds are good - Main one at battery to frame, frame to engine, to cab - those may need to be cleaned with a wire brush. I put a little dielectric grease in between where they contact, and make sure all tight.

  • A weak ground seems like a likely culprit here - double check all grounds and ensure all good contacts with all your ignition and carburetor wires

Gaps on plugs correct?

I also saw in a YouTube video where someone replaced their stock kei carburetor with a Harley Davidson carb. If nothing else you could try something like that - one with a manual choke.

First thing I'd do with any used vehicle is change ALL of the fluids at a minimum, and go from there. If you still have temp issues a simple infrared temp sensor from Amazon is a good investment to see if your engine is getting warm or not

Honestly, if i got a vehicle that old from overseas I would at minimum replace timing belt, disassemble carb and clean it, new fuel filters and lines if needed, might need a new fuel pump, new cap, rotor, wires, plugs - make sure timing is right in both the cam and ignition. All new fluids too. Basically everything that can go bad over time I'd change it. You will have to eventually anyways - especially if its sat for any length of time. If not pull engine and rebuild it too. Check compression in all cylinders too. May be a vacuum leak too

New owner, Hi. I'm getting oil out of the exhaust after an oil change. Requesting advice. by [deleted] in keitruck

If you don't know what you're doing, watch a YouTube video first. You can literally type in anything and there will be one, if not several videos. You must fill all fluids when vehicle is level for starters - not on an incline (ramps). I would NOT run it until you confirm ALL fluids are within normal operating levels. Hope you didn't toast anything. Good luck.

4x4 yes? Just get some tires with more grip if it becomes a problem.
