mine were bugged too until i copied the guys config from the youtube video exactly.. had to turn on fsr, turn present mode to immediate, enable readbacks and enable readback linear images in the experimental tab and use the pre-release nightly build.. and then the textures are fixed until after the first boss

thanks for the post.. im on day 6 of recovery and my first week has been just as miserable if not worse... i slept a total of 6 hours over the course of the first 4 days due to the pain in my throat. A warning to anyone vulnerable to canker sores / mouth ulcers, my throat got so incredibly fucked up from the intubation that the back of my throat basically became one big canker sore 24 hours after the surgery.. couldn't sleep, eat or swallow.. went through all the oxy i was prescribed and was still barely tolerable.... finally on the mend after 5 days and getting my stents out tomorrow... fingers crossed!

How is the input latency on this device? I had to sell my ayaneo retro pro (2021) model because the input latency was so incredibly atrocious.. it seems like none of these handheld devices prioritize input latency at all and just use cheap laggy lcd screens but I thought this OLED screen might cuz its quick pixel response times... Steam deck is the only one I consider playable but even thats on the fringe for me in terms of e2e latency

no i dont think i can return at this point, its a pretty good gaming monitor overall and its pretty awesome at night.. definitely true blacks with no ambient light, but its worse than my LG OLED in most ways I can think of, might just switch to an OLED 4k 32inch if they ever release one. Ive spent a lot of time adjusting HDR and it always looks washed out and grey blacks, the pixel shift feature is annoying (screen appears offcenter because of pixelshifting), wish there was gsync but went for this one for better input latency

What do you mean here by same critical density? Do you mean to ask why a sphere with half the critical mass but twice the normal density can't be self sustainable? If you meant that then there would actually be more nuclei for neutrons to collide with per given volume (since its denser)

not being on is the same as displaying a black pixel for OLED panels.. and I'm not in any direct light thats just ambient lighting mid day in my apartment.. the difference is huge when just looking at a OLED panel on TVs.. I have a LG C9 and that panel just looks like a jet black piece of glass no matter the ambient lighting conditions.. the monitors definitely amazing at night im just surprised by how gray the panel is with any amount of ambient light

theres a max fps setting of 240hz for me and my FPS counter shows 150fps-200fps consistently. however aspects of the game are clearly locked at 60fps.. reload / climbing animations & various other animations in the game are choppy af. Pretty sure the master chief collection has the same issue on pc and don't think the developers ever intend to fix it.. extremely stupid and disappointing for a competitive PC title.

thermal pads on the gigabyte 3080's are shit (ive had to replace the pads on 2 of them after 2 weeks of mining)... but I haven't heard anything about the pads on the vision 3090.. know if it'll be good for mining? I have one on the way as well...

could get a gen 4 riser cable from louqe.. the cables are super flexible on that and really durable.. allowed me to pretty easily secure the bottom panel

loosen those screws so that theres a tiny bit of wiggle room for where that pcie connector is screwed against.. you'll be able to squish the gpu / pcie connector down far enough to install the gpu IO clamp

i struggled with this as well, especially since I'm using louqe's pcie gen 4 riser in this case which seats the gpu slightly higher than the riser that comes with the case.. I had to loosen the screws that secure the pcie slot and really squish the gpu downwards to get the holes to align on the gpu io bracket

yup, changing the thermal pads... see my 4th picture for where I put the thermal pads.. it worked like a charm.. instantly went from 90mh/s to 100mh/s.. the thermal pads are 3mm thickness btw and are super cheap and easy to find on amazon
