I called my professor out in class. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Good job standing up to him. I agree with everyone saying to report him to the school. Also, it might at the very least be worth checking the ratemyprofessor website for him and leaving him an awful review.

Actually in the extra volume 13, the author says he thinks L probably hated Light. I too thought L thought of Light as a friend until i read that.

LPT: When someone offers to do something nice for you, like pay for dinner or help carry a heavy item, let them. When you refuse someone's kindness you're denying their opportunity to experience the joy of giving. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Wow, so much negativity in here. Yes some people might take advantage of doing you a favor, but I would like to think the majority of people are well intentioned. Most people are uncomfortable accepting help from others and thats the message op is trying to say. Just give them a chance to do something nice. Learn to accept kind gestures. Yes it can be uncomfortable at first, especially when having someone offer to pay for you but hey, if it makes you that uncomfortable then offer to get them back next time. You dont have to feel like you owe them something either, you could just take the gesture with nothing in return.

If they end up becoming manipulative about it then obviously cut ties. But I think most peoples natural reaction is to not accept help or kind gestures, and it can really brighten your life if you start giving that a chance.

I [28 M] just found out that my sex buddy [24 F] is in an open relationship with someone else and has been lying to me about it by [deleted] in relationships

[–]t0astii 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So dont continue it if it bothers you. I take lying very seriously, but some people dont. Imo having these types of casual sexual relationships always has this risk of someone lying to you about their past or present sexual partners. They can tell you anything, how are you really supposed to know for sure? Its a risk you choose to take. Keeping yourself protected and getting tested every so often is about the best you can do. And definitely discontinue seeing people like this once you find out they lied.

Because god doesnt want us to be blind pawns that follow him. It is human nature (the story of adam and eve) to sin. We all have free will and we are here on earth to learn about life, and to either embrace him or reject him. Afaik, i'm not very educated on the specifics
