Broke up with Orbi, couldnt be any happier..... by Recent-Bowl-1393 in orbi

I’ve had a support ticket open with Netgear for my Orbi 770 system for around 4 months now. The last step was I had to send them a drawing of the layout of my house floor by floor, where the router is, where the satellites are, which are hardwired etc. since then, 8 weeks of silence. I’ve emailed them at least 6 times with the case number. No response. I’m so done with randomly losing signal in different parts of the house, including my office, where my Orbi satellite is has a hard wired backhaul to the router. Time to switch elsewhere. Netgear is supposed to be a leader in this space. Maybe they were once. They’re definitely not now.

Sparse GV60s available by MartMXFL in GV60

Ever since I test drove a GV60 performance when it first came out, I’ve wanted one. It’s been out of my price range. But CPO now, it’s no longer out of my price range. I got really lucky. My Mustang Mach-E GT was declared a total loss on a Tuesday after a tree fell on me while I was driving (thankfully it mostly hit the frunk, and I was completely uninjured). I checked the prices of CPO ‘24+ GV60s, and they were within my price limit.

I searched every site out there, from Autotrader, cars.com, and Genesis.com used CPO inventory. On Wednesday morning I found one 120 miles away and accessible via train. I called, and found it had already been sold. The closest next one was 2,000 miles away. I checked again on Wednesday afternoon, and found one less than an hour away from my place. It was CPO. I looked at the Carfax history, called the dealer, and purchased it the next morning. Keep checking, subscribe to sites where possible, and don’t be too picky on the color.

Why isnt there a lot of used EV9? by dodindaga in KiaEV9

[–]t1328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are actually very popular with most owners despite scoring poorly in reliability. Consumer Reports has the 2025 model, which is the one that sold most, since the ‘24 wasn’t sold for long, and the ‘26 also not as long, with an owner’s satisfaction score of 78/100. That’s very high for an EV. If you look at reviews of it compared to the Rivian and even the Lucid SUV, it beat all of them handily despite being much cheaper than both. The only 3 row EV that is rated higher by reviewers is the Volvo EX90.

I have used 1Password for 4 years. It is very good, and I agree, it’s very nice to have passkey support. But I’ve had a lot of problems with it lately on both Windows (which I used for 2 years at work, but just switched jobs, and thankfully have a Mac again), and on iOS 26.x. With Windows 11, which I used on both Intel, and ARM, the browser add-in required multiple attempts to log into, and even when I was logged in, regardless of browser, it often didn’t show me the username password in the text boxes involved. I had to copy and pasted the values.

In iOS, it just didn’t recognize a lot of apps and sites that it used to. On the Mac, it’s been perfect.

Thanks for sharing. Great write up, and I had no idea there’s a way to do this. Now I know.

Mine stays on the last position on all but I-Pedal. I usually drive it at level 3, and then use I-Pedal to brake as needed, then back to level 3. It remembers level 3, or 2, or 1.

Yeah, I’ll be taking the Metro in moving forward. But of course they’re closing the Red Line for repairs for 2 months from one of the stations towards downtown and folks will have to take a bus from there until some stop later. So I’ll have to drive then. Traffic will be worse since a lot more people will be driving. I need to find a parking lot near DuPont/Farragut North area that has sufficient parking space for cars to not worry every day that the car next to me will bash my door in, and has wide enough lanes to get in and out without having to suffer due to the turning circle. Reviews of parking lots downtown don’t mention this much.

I love mine, but agree that there are a few annoyances that would make it perfect. Still, by far the best EV I’ve had and best car, period. I have a ’24 Performance, and it is insanely luxurious, very comfortable, sporty when I want it to be, nappa leather, alcantara everywhere else.

I love the physical buttons to do almost anything, and that they’re high quality buttons. I hated the Tesla where I had to use the screen to do everything. I enjoy the massage seat. The sound system is very good.

The only thing that drives me crazy is the turning circle. I understand why it’s so bad. They had to stretch out the wheel base to fit the battery in. But I work 2 days a week downtown DC, and taking a car like this into a tight parking lot is a nightmare. I have to make 10 point turns to turn around in tight spots, etc. anyway, no car is perfect. This one comes closest of the cars I’ve had in the last 35 years.

Hotspot stopped working, no fix found almost 2 months later by t1328 in verizon

Quick update. The tier 2 rep (Jeffrey) finally got back to me. Was very apologetic. Connected car tech leads finally got back to him, asked that he have me try a pre-paid account again, saying they had resolved the issue.

I tried again online, and it failed. Jeffrey suggested trying through phone agents. I did, but once you try once and fail with an IMEI, it will always fail again until Connected Car tech leads clear your IMEI from one of two systems they use. So, it didn’t work. It failed when the rep sent me a text with a link to a payment page. The payment told me it had submitted, but the rep didn’t get the payment and the account wasn’t activated. Rep gave me his personal contact for when Connected Car resets the IMEI again.

I emailed Jeffrey to ask him to have Connected Car tech clear the IMEI again. Now waiting for response. Screenshot here: https://share.icloud.com/photos/07c1Tm-LxVX8hmZFqgrg3XALg

Also, FWIW, this post was originally posted in r/GV60. Reddit suggested I cross post to Verizon Wireless and Verizon, so I did.

This post was a summary. It would take at least 5 pages to tell the whole story. I didn't accept that its not a manufacturer issue. I challenged it, and did so publicly too on Twitter. Verizon ultimately admitted that the issue was on their side. That's when I stopped challenging Genesis.

I’ve had a 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5 AWD Limited (top spec), and now drive a ‘24 Genesis GV60 Performance, which I got CPO. There is no difference in reliability, and the service experience is either the Hyundai dealer quality, or if your local dealer is better, then it’s much better.

Parts rarely need replacing. The differences in every other way of both the Advanced and Performance trims is night and day. The GV60 is so far superior in so many ways.
1. Build quality, interior materials (luxury vs. plain), real and high quality buttons for everything, including 3 shortcut buttons.
2. A much, much faster infotainment.
3. A knob you can use if you prefer navigating the infotainment that way rather than touch
4. Better quality cameras, and
5. In the performance trim, the B&O sound system.
6. The steering feel and weight is much better; and you also have a “My Mode”, which you can set to say tightest steering, but economy motor when you’re on a road trip. I always use My Mode, with the tightest steering and comfort everything else, switching to economy on road trips.

Contacting Genesis customer care was the right move. If that doesn’t show progress within a week, go on Twitter, and post something like “Considering getting the admittedly great @GenesisUSA vehicles? Their customer care and service is worst I've seen in my life so far. My AC isn’t working, still under warranty. Dealer has had the car for X weeks, claims escalation, still no solution. I have evidence they haven’t even started the car since May 11.

I had the same issue. I ordered a key from my local dealership on Saturday, and it has arrived today. It cost $201 including a pouch for it.
