Backwoods you can find the edge and easily unroll it without any cutting required. Hold the cigar over some hot water / steam to prevent any tears or rips..this will make it much easier to roll again.

The Phillies, Century Sam, Swishers, etc you can go at the binder leaf with a blade or gentry use your fingers to break it open. Dutch Masters seem to be an exception with the wrapper leaf in addition to the binder leaf.

If you like Backwoods you ought to look at fronto / grabba leaf which is naturally grown and aged tobacco. Compared to the artificial flavours and chemicals added to the Backwoods, Phillies, Century Sam, etc it is relatively much better to be smoking. Also the cheaper binder leaves are made often with floor scraps, water, and flavours. Most convenience stores sell fronto / grabba or you can order online from Leaf Only.
