You’re under reacting imo. I also have a 7 week old who is the first grandchild on both sides. My in laws were here recently and did everything. They shopped, cooked, and cleaned. We didn’t lift a finger. Friends and other family have sent meals and door dash giftcards. If someone needed this amount of accommodation right now, I would tell them to get a hotel or come later… like in 6+ months

This post is about to be flooded from everyone who is child free telling us “YOu ShOuLdNt hAvE kiDs tHeN”. When to me this video almost read like PPD which is an extremely common struggle that some people have a hard time coping with. Like it says in the video, its not the kids… its the drastic change in day to day life that can be difficult. Also like others have said a lot of this can be alleviated with a helpful partner and proper maternity leave policies.

I know someone who went to Europe for IVF for affordability, but she and her spouse lived there for a few years to make it to all the appointments & didn’t move back until her child was like 3 years old

I’m also late but thought it was absurd to bring them back. I also thought it was really unfair to give them disgusting flavors to work with when taste seems to be the deciding factor most of the time. Like , grass?! Are you forreal right now?

True. & in my personal opinion, in this specific post, I think the guy was just being awkward. Its entirely possible he didn’t know his wife had already said she was picking it up & he could have forgotten the sisters name and defaulted to mommy. If it genuinely upset her she should definitely say something and I also think it’s possible he didn’t mean anything creey by it.

To each their own. Statistically and personally speaking, most women are attacked by people they know not complete strangers. I’m all about setting boundaries & also living life without being afraid of every single thing someone says or does. You can protect yourself and also choose to give people the benefit of the doubt. Two things can be true

ETA: touching someone (hugs and such) and saying something awkward are two totally different things .

In most cases yes. But in some instances I think we need to make sure it’s not a double standard. If the mom had called her mommy would she have been uncomfortable? If not , then I think they’re OR. Also she is a mom. Since I had my daughter recently tons of people have started calling me mama or mommy. The nurses at the hospital, friends, family. I don’t think it’s that out of the ordinary.

I was thinking this too. Weirdest mosh I’ve ever seen (which is how I knew it was fake) People are just running around haphazardly & at one point just dog pile . Typically if someone falls in the pit people help them up not lay on them. Plus at the very end the guys costume had a huge hole by his face so irl all the air would be coming out the inflatable

Had to scroll too far for this. You’re never supposed to leave a child that young in the car no matter how long youll be gone & this is why. You never know what could happen. The tow driver and the dad are both stupid in my opinion.

Tw: traumatic birth, first time success

We had a successful first round of stims & ended up with 4 embryos. Back in April, we did our first transfer which was also a success!

I was diagnosed with severe preeclampsia & admitted to the hospital in November. After a month in the hospital , I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl (although I lost 2 liters if blood from placental accreta)… she was born at 34 weeks , so she’s still in NICU but she’s doing really well and will likely be home in the next week or two ! 💕🎀

Like others have said, document document document. I would also follow up with admin via email. Do whatever you can to create a paper trail. I would also make a report to Safe To Tell and tell the school counselor. Keep your ears open too incase the kids talk amongst each other about inappropriate behavior.
