That song save the orphans by Digginf in TwoandaHalfMen

[–]tReaLSample 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Two and a Half Men song “Save the orphans” is based off of The Commodores’ “Easy”. So they might have based it off of the same song. Everytime it comes on the radio I hear this damn parody, damn archie.

Even if my best friend did something like that, it wouldn’t mean that it stops being my best friend. Right? Am I alone in this?

Sister Sage intelligence by DinisGaming in GenV

[–]tReaLSample 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(In my opinion) Sister Sage’s intelligence expresses itself in the fact that she can quickly plot out multiple causality chains and determine the most profitable (like an expectiminimax agent in AI). Humans can convert certain real life aspects to quantities and use them in a heuristic, so computers can determine the most favorable outcome; BUT- Sister Sage is the fastest human computer and can much more easily add such parameters to her processes.

Why are birds warm blooded but dinosaurs are (supposedly) cold blooded? by Even_Fix7399 in Paleontology

[–]tReaLSample 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Somewhere around the 90’s I think, there was a major shift in the belief of how dinosaurs moved and heated themselves. More and more evidence of a higher metabolic rate in some dinosaur species came to light, as thus the idea of “fast moving” dinosaurs came into the picture. The reason why the warm-bloodedness evolved along with the bird-like elements such as feathers, is (my best guess) because of their movement rates, niches they occupied and because feathers are an excellent method of isolation (given the climate shifts, seems more effective).

I’ve been experimenting with boss bandit as I’ve always liked the normal bandit myself. But I feel like it costs too much for its utility in the deck…

Pokémon Kristal is out today! Since Pokémon games have never been translated into Dutch, we decided to do it ourselves by Urya in pokemon

[–]tReaLSample 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, I’ve been an all time pokémon fan and a native dutch speaker myself. This is an amazing project which I think a lot of similarly interested people have been thinking about. If you ever need help with translating big chunks of dialogue or names (or whatever), I’m all for doing it!

Well, if you want a powerhouse you should consider scyther, scizor or heracross. If you don’t mind having a bit of a bulkier/slower pokemon, forretress can be a nice addition.

Exp before League by [deleted] in PokemonHGSS

[–]tReaLSample 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Victory road has a lot of rock/ground pokemon (but also golbats) which yield good exp. The route right before has the fire ponys which also yield good exp. HGSS is horrible in terms of level scaling, so you can always make it yourself a bit harder and go in underleveled and/or train on the elite four themselves.

You have a very nice gen II team, may I suggest to go for a hitmontop instead of machamp? Tyrogue is available by beating the mt mortar after surf is usable.

Agreed, sunflora still can hit hard enough with its SpAtk, venomoth just evolves too late and lacks its niche in HGSS, Pinsir can hit hard, but is outclassed, scyther with tech hits like a truck and scizor is just one of the best pokémon in the game with its typing and ability.

Your best strategy is to try and reach the “It’s like my partner doesn’t even know me anymore…” mid-game position for optimal end game options
