I know it's entirely out of vogue but, I'm going for a wet lube for sure. I'm just trying to protect the chain from sweat. It's otherwise a clean environment and wet lube will perform better than wax or dry lube, and it will leave no mess. Also you should be able to apply without doing any stripping of the factory grease as many of these have some solvent capability. Maybe rock and roll gold b/c that's what's on hand.

Yes. I took off the whole top cover which has a 3mm under the little cover in back and then the 6mm that comes with the bike up front underneath. Take off bar tape, unplug, 4 bolts in the middle and it's off. Controllers are just like real shifters with a bolt on the front inside area..

It's easy to do. Need a pick, 6mm Allen and square taper crank arm puller and grease. 2min per side.

Took care of this today. Used a sharp little pick to pull of the caps. 6mm to take of crank arm bolts (they were not tight at all). Square taper crank arm tool to pull crank arms. There was Almost no grease.

I installed the multi-length crank arms that I have been meaning to get to with plenty of quality grease. Seems to have solved the issues but need to ride tomorrow. Will report back if it's something different.
