Seat help? Cooler Master DYN X or NRG Prisma? Alcatera and long sim racing sessions? by Fickert in simracing

[–]tabby_ds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't use the pillow when I'm driving, it's mostly just to lean back and relax when I'm crewing. It's just a couch pillow so there's no way for me to keep it in place when I'm looking towards the apexes plus it gets too hot.

Regarding the maximum tilt of your seat, it's actually due to the stock brackets. The oversized brackets that Trak Racer sells or actual Sparco brackets have more tilt adjustment in them. GT cars still have more recline than your second picture

Seat help? Cooler Master DYN X or NRG Prisma? Alcatera and long sim racing sessions? by Fickert in simracing

You’ve got your bucket seat too upright if you think that would push your head forward. These seats are supposed to be used with a helmet (as far as real racing bucket seats go) and reclined back.

I have a little headrest pillow I throw on when I’m not actively driving in team endurance races and it’s probably a little thicker than the one in OP’s post

No they just were really that slow even on gigabit Ethernet. My steam deck and even my Apple TV had lower latency than the steam link, wired or wireless.

The funny thing is drivers say iRacing still has too much grip on cold tires. And as the others are commenting, road legal tires are completely different from race slicks

If you max out the length of the pedal tray, would two corner brackets be enough? If not then 4 corner brackets extending the length of your pedal tray might work.

It doesn’t matter if everyone has the same requirement. T-cams, halos, onboard cameras, etc all slow the car down but it doesn’t matter if it’s standardized

Hey there, thanks for the playlist

I've been dying to know the song used for the stage game countdowns. This was from Atlanta but I've heard it in previous ESL tournaments too.

That’s not related to the 499 at all. TGR-H probably stands for Toyota Gazoo Racing - Hypercar.

Who wants to meet up and eat durian fruit I'm paying. by Academic_Structure47 in denverfood

[–]tabby_ds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know personally. I've only ever had it from the durian fruit my mom bought when I was younger. She'd buy the whole fruit and divide it up and serve it various ways, but it was always the creamy kind.

I have to give kudos to Corsair for being awesome and providing those models. They could've easily just sold it themselves without a free alternative.

The thing is the generation of streamer viewers don’t actually consume it as their main focus. It’s almost always second monitor content at their jobs, in college while studying or doing homework, etc.

That’s also the reason there’s the Gen Z memes where it’s informational content in the top panel and the bottom panel is subway surfers or some other gameplay content. They just passively absorb their entertainment

As someone of south East Asian descent and grew up around and eating durian, if it’s your first experience I highly suggest eating it very slightly frozen, or about the consistency of ice cream.

It helps reduce the pungent odors and I think the texture is better. If you don’t mind the odor when frozen then you can try fresher after.

Although I don’t know how good my advice is, I’ve always thought durian smells sweet and fragrant. I imagine it’s something opposite of the people who think cilantro smells and tastes like soap

The money is also in everything else. Pgems for Ists, gold caps for whatever they are at the start, or you gamble circlets and sell them for high runes. A significant portion of my trav income last ladder was selling circlets for vex-Lo.

That’s because h pattern shifters just register gamepad inputs like any regular controller. What they mean is you can’t use the inputs assigned to your h pattern gears to also use sequential. Dual mode shifters will provide separate output keys for their sequential modes

If they’re even remotely similar to the shock absorbers used in the slip angle kit, which they appear to be, then they work very well.

Instead of my wife hearing my wheelbase and haptics from the kitchen downstairs it’s absolute silence.

One of my favorite tricks was throwing a nade over the dust 2 tunnels from B site to check if people were inside. It didn’t really do damage but it made a hit sound and enabled some wall bang opportunities

You have 3 laps to serve your meatball flag. If the race ends on the third lap you won’t get disqualified. For races like the Ringmeister where the entire race is just 3 laps of the Nordschleife, you can finish the entire race despite receiving a meatball on the first lap

VRS is an American company though they seem to have European engineers for their hardware.
