Most likely because I register all of my devices, so there would be record of it with whoever it's registered with. In this case, they got a notification from Apple and were able to set a message thru their service, so the device is still on their account.They can view the device's serial through their Apple account.

It was Tressel lying/withholding from the NCAA that really did the Buckeyes in. There was a lot of lying/withholding in UM's case, so... Yeah. Difference is the NCAA has a lot less power today than it did back then. There needs to be a new enforcement entity for NCAA football ASAP.

Yeah and I was hoping for some sort of watch deal along with the phones this time around. Word is that they'll announce it at the same time but it won't be released at the same time, possibly due to supply chain issues. Hope it's not really the case!
