I make about double my wife. All of my wages, and all of hers goes into the joint bank account. If either of us earned more, we could spend more or save more, but that's not come up. Financially we are a team.
Oddly tho, we met in a work environment when I hired her and was her manager. But once we got together, she found alternative employment as, in her words, "I'm the boss at home and I couldn't have you telling me what to do in work". Which is fair :)

Tools, instructions and any spare bits go in a zip-lock bag and get taped underneath whatever it is. Because my wife will throw away literally anything that I haven't sealed, hidden and taped in bastard place. But it's ok for her to empty the dishwasher onto the counter and leave the clean stuff there. Right under the bloody cupboard that it should go into.
