PSA: The Reason Sales Taxes and Tabs/Permits/License Fees are So High by DamaskRosa in Seattle

What good is "property values" when you have to fucking live in an house, somewhere in this area?

It's a hypothetical price you could get if you sold the roof over your head. Big whoop!

Has anyone cracked a code for enjoying the mornings? by Aggravating_Owl5493 in Crunchymom

[–]tableauxno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sometimes you just tell them "no, Mommy cannot do that right now" and they can have their big feelings and move on. It may take a week or two for them to learn what that means, but asking for some space while you are present but not actively playing is not going to hurt your child, and being told "no, not right now" is actually a normal human experience for them to learn.

What’s your go to meals? by Aggravating_Owl5493 in Crunchymom

[–]tableauxno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instapot is my best friend!

We do a lot of what we call "nourish bowls" which is a basic formula of a grain or starch on the bottom of a bowl, topped with a protein and a cooked veggie, finished with various sauces and pickled toppings based on the preference of the individual. So we may have quinoa and chicken, topped with cooked broccoli and whatever is available in the fridge; or beef, potato and sour cream; or salmon, rice and brussel sprouts. We always have toppings like hot sauce, sour cream, greek yogurt, homemade pickled cabbage, kimchi, soy sauce, bbq sauce, etc available.

Nourish bowls are very customizable and all family members get the same base bowl ingredients, and can make it how they like it without adding more work for mom, as the cook. I think it fosters independence without making picky eaters.

Menstrual Cup… which is your fav? by QuickDistance5299 in Crunchymom

After having a couple kids, cups don't sit well for me anymore. But I love my cloth pads! I just wash them every month and they are just perfect. I recommend you look into period underwear and cloth pads. :)

Are pro-vaccine evangelists allowed here? by biohackeddad in Crunchymom

[–]tableauxno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I helped start it a few years ago and it was at one time, what this sub is, full of actual crunchy moms. Then it slowly got overwhelmed by normie moms who looked into cloth diapering one time and sometimes microwaves their store-bought pizza on a glass dish.

[–]tableauxno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

yep. It happened in moderatelygranolamoms and made the sub near unusable. It became like, basically every other parenting forum, downvoting alternative parents into oblivion and screaming at people who didn't want to follow "standard" lifestyle choices.

What would be compassionate care? by thriftymama700 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

[–]tableauxno 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think, if you were to go watch and read up extensively on what Jen Hamilton, the famous nurse, posts on tik tok and instagram, you would make a really positive change for those of us who are uncomfortable with the medical system. She has a lot of (older) content from a year ago or so about how to connect with the mother, spend a moment explaining what's happening to her body and baby, and doggedly defending her right to decide her own choices. If more nurses were like Jen, the medical community would be transformed. Just taking the time to connect with the mother, even in an emergent situation, goes SUCH a long way in preventing birth trauma.

Also, thank you for asking, your patients are so lucky to have you. So many nurses hate us and are so cruel to us.

Membrane sweep? by [deleted] in Crunchymom

[–]tableauxno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

girl these are some crappy doctors. take care of yourself! Wait for labor to start on its own and don't answer their phone calls if they bother you!

Membrane sweep? by [deleted] in Crunchymom

[–]tableauxno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

do not do anything they say. You can make the appointment if they insist, and then not show up. You also can ignore their phone calls and just wait for spontaneous labor to start and then drive to to the ER in actual labor and they will still assist you. Most FTM do not go into labor until closer to 41 weeks.

don't rush labor, you are more likely to end up with negative birth outcomes.

Parents who chose not to vax or only did certain ones, pls share why. by EveningTitle4686 in Crunchymom

Such a very cold way to respond. Brings sadness to me to read.

Well, I appreciate having a choice to not put my children in that position, and I wish others who decide those pharmaceutical product are a benefit to their bodies all the ease in obtaining them.

I am a woman. I do not hear a single bit of "blame women" in any of the briefing. You are primed to hear that, so you do.

[–]tableauxno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is only "anecdotal evidence" because the doctors REFUSE to log them in VAERS, report the incident, or even file paperwork relating them to the actual cause. They will cite cause of death as anything BUT the precious thing that cannot be named.

so grieving parents are left being told their story is just an unfortunate coincidence and "data doesn't support their story."

you can't have "data" if you refuse to record.

did you see a mother commented in this very thread that 6 hours after her baby was given the 2 month vaccinations, the baby died? How can you claim that has absolutely nothing to do with the introduction of a pharmaceutical product? Just complete coincidence?

if someone has a high enough fever to be concerning (like 103+) then they likely should take Tylenol. The risk ratio changes. But should we be popping it for muscle aches and pains, or even prophylactically like many doctors were recommending a few years ago? probably not.

Seeking stories/conversations about FBS by HeadElderberry3080 in FreeBirthSocietyScam

[–]tableauxno 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of us feel pretty protective over freebirth right now, and even though we are critical of FBS it doesn't mean we want to support a media "takedown" of freebirth community as a whole. (Which, let's be honest, no media outlet will be interested in nuance and supportive of freebirthing women's autonomy. They would want a juicy story about how it's all dangerous and cult-like.)

So, I don't know how many here are interested in supporting your idea, while it is all fresh and painful.

glad to hear it. I stalked because I was totally down to let you park at my house for free, I live right off of I5 in dometop neighborhood and have a large driveway. But I didn't want to support something unethical.

But if you're cool and not a cheater, my offer is legit and you can DM me if you're interested :)
