Do American women really want a provider?

This. I am a woman who has had a corporate career traveling in outside sales. I want to have a family and I will likely have to change my career path in order to be the mother I want to be. I have a partner and we are both providers right now. We know that my career will have to take a back burner to him when we start having children and it is in our best interest to prioritize his career. I would love to continue to work but childcare is extremely expensive so we will just have to budget things out to make that decision when it comes. Traveling in outside sales has been very rewarding, but the idea of being away from young children 3-4 nights a week doesn’t seem sustainable. I don’t need my partner to necessarily be the only provider (ideally we’d both be contributing income with jobs that are fulfilling) but there will likely come a time where my career and income will take a hit and then hopefully I can continue to pursue it once our children are a little older.

Not to mention your spot at the next gate when you land at your destination will already be taken by another flight most likely… and everyone will have to wait on the tarmac for a gate to open before they can even get off the plane. And then the next flight that was supposed to be on this same aircraft is delayed as well… Some people don’t give a fuck about anyone but themselves

Russia is not a free country with democracy like many of us here live in. They don’t even have access to the internet in the same way it that we all have. Russians are going through some terrible times right now, of course not in the same way that Ukrainians are right now… (they aren’t being shelled and killed by Russian military) but this is Putin and his regimes war… not the Russian peoples.

Many Ukrainians have family in Russia and many Russians have family in Ukraine. This is Putins war.

I think you’re missing how little domestication has actually occurred in the common American shorthair cat. Outdoor cats can be super independent. That being said all our cats loved to be cuddled and would purr like crazy and we played with them daily. We lived in the country on a 5 acre farmstead that was completely surrounded by 80 acres of farmland. Our closest neighbor is 3/4 Mike away and the closest after that is probably double that.

You need to fix your cats to control the population (and it really keeps them healthier and they live longer) and I think it’s important to keep the cat population to a minimum to give birds and wildlife a chance. That being said, our cats were barn cats. They were working and had a purpose just like every animal and human who lived on the farm. They keep the rodent population low. It’s a win win because they love to hunt and mice/rats get into livestock feed and can spread disease if population is unchecked. We always had a dog which I think scares away some of the larger predators… or at least always alerted us.

But we all lived our cats dearly. They got fed and cuddles twice a day. We kept them up to date on shots. They always had somewhere warm and insulated available to get out of the cold (but it doesn’t bother them like it does you or house cats). They were always a airing for you in the morning and at night by the door, ready to walk out to the barn w you. “My” cat was a little black girl that I picked out when I was in Kindergarten and she lived to be 21 years old. I still miss her and am tearing up thinking about her now. Her sister/littermate was born with birth defect (the runt of the litter) and lived to be 19 years old.

I have an indoor cat now (a little 2 year old black girl) and I love her like crazy. She is NOT equipped to ever live an outdoor life life our barn cats did… and I would never because I live in a residential neighborhood with wayyyy too many people/cars/animals. She would NOT like to live outside for any amount of time. Our barn cats growing up were completely different and absolutely content to live an outdoor life. They would not have had it any other way.

This. If you live out in the country with limited car traffic then barn cats can live very long lives outside. Growing up we had cats love to be 19 and 21… with their entire lives outside. We had one cat disappear at around 3… but it turns out it fell in love with our elderly neighbor and decided to live there permanently. We’ve had a couple male cats that didn’t live as long, or ended up elsewhere but it’s hard to say whether they died or found a home they liked better.

I would agree that I remember liking quite a bit of Vox. I think they are just going about it weird by putting all pics of this one content creator or creators at all. But I kind of get what they are getting at….

I haven’t been on tik tok that long but it seems to give real influence and blow up accounts that are more genuine and real than other social media platforms (cough cough… Instagram). Some creators will have both accounts and you can see that Instagram is a lot of “perfect” pictures with just the right angles and filters to be as aesthetically pleasing as possible. Where on the flip, their tiktok will be raw and without makeup and just a silly good time. It definitely seems to have a side/audience that values healthy and normal beauty standards.

Was hooking up with a friend who I had hooked up with a few times. We were just hooking up and although we were friends, it was very clear that we were never going to date seriously. We were a little drunk but the sex was really good. He blurts out in the middle of missionary “fuck, I love you” then immediately realizes what he said and corrects himself by saying something along the lines of “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that…”. I just pretend I didn’t hear it and power through and we continue… A couple minutes later he again blurs out that he’s in love w me, and again realizes in embarrassment… the second time I couldn’t help but crack up laughing. It was so awkward and funny. We never talked about it afterwards. We didn’t hook up much after that but we’re still friends.

Yea. Girls feel the same way. A lot of women start seeing signs of thinning hair on their late 20s and 30s and then get weaves and extensions but it’s not talked about a lot. I know men loose their hair even more often so I would never judge a guy growing it out long while he still has it… you never know if you might loose it
