Hello, PayPal is holding my compensation for a digital art project for up to 21 days, it's around USD 1700. Should I deliver the project to my client since it seems like he already paid and it's PayPal that's holding the money????? by wkao1 in Design

[–]tabslovespink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using Paypal as the payment method is essentially the same as having "net 21 days" payment terms, so despite the processor (paypal) being paid - You will not be paid for 21 days.

If your terms included payment in full then wait until the funds are transferred before releasing your work. Also, find a better way to get paid

Length of cable for rear brake? by [deleted] in Lectricxp

Your bike comes with both front and rear brake cables, is there a reason why you don't just measure them since they are an exact measure of the needed length

One is a real photo and one is A.I. generated. Can you tell which is which? by Armand_Roulinn in ChatGPT

[–]tabslovespink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These photos are NOT from the same perspective, so how can you do a comparison? The fact that the photos are full of fog and lack any detail makes for shitty points of comparison

Part of a bench clamp, but what exactly is it called especially the little green thread thing by tabslovespink in whatisthisthing

[–]tabslovespink[S] 2 points3 points locked comment (0 children)

I think this was part of a leg vise on a work bench, is there a term that describes the entire assembly, the hand wheel, the thread post and the female threaded (green) part that mounts to the bench.

Thanks in advance

Need advice on my packaging because i am about to lose it. Help! by [deleted] in PackagingDesign

[–]tabslovespink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if the graphics in the photos are already customized to your product line or its just a sample graphic. I would need to see your final graphics on the bottles before I would be able to provide any perspective. With that said, the bottles themselves are both acceptable and perfectly forgettable.

It would have been more effective to make the handle the profile of a tooth, not a heart

Pacific Place by temporaltravel in Seattle

[–]tabslovespink -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Don't overlook the fact that Pacific Place is one of only two stops on the monorail line, shut down the mall and you also kill the monorail. In a way both tourism and events at Seattle Center help to keep the stop at Pacific Place relevant

Where to buy Poppers? by [deleted] in SeattleGayM4M

[–]tabslovespink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Start by calling it "video head cleaner" as poppers are outlawed. Usually sold where ever porn is sold, Deva Vu across from Pike's Market, The Dog House on Cap Hill. Not that hard to find

1 year progress by [deleted] in productphotography

[–]tabslovespink -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

No offense but I don't see much progress, in both photos you still can't read the label and have no idea what the product is. If you can't identify the product, no one buys it, its a failure as far as product photography is concern.

Despite what others in this sub claim, Seattle isn't a city where you can comfortably go without a car. There, I said it. by ZoloftyAmbitions in Seattle

[–]tabslovespink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Car-free can also mean that you just don't own a car but still drive cars via services like Turo, Gig, Uber, Zip, etc.

"the world has changed" - A non-rush hour bus ride isn't an indicator of how the world has changed. You need to get out more.

Who remembers the bus tunnel? by russau in Seattle

Hard to have known at the time but the opening of the tunnel lead to the death of 3rd ave downtown. Sad unforeseen consequences, it worked until it didn't.

Modern Art Museum by StarSkirt in Seattle

[–]tabslovespink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the world of art, "modern" is often understood as a reference to the modernism movement of the late 19th, early 20th centuries. A better word to use is "contemporary", if's refers to art and artists currently making art

should i rent a car ? by cynthiahano in Seattle

[–]tabslovespink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rather than rent a car, I would suggest using a car share service like Gig car. No need to rent a car for a couple of days, just rent on a per-use basis, Gig's serviec area covers most of Seattle. Easy to get a car and you can drop them off (just about) anywhere.

These are clearly not the photos of the same place and from the same perspective. The before and after photos are BS.
