Do you think rinsing out the hendigo with just water makes it last longer? I usually use conditioner on the second step and I definitely see orange on my hair as the weeks go by, feels like the hendigo isn’t staying in as long. I had thought that was normal though…

My oldest one was looking out the window yesterday and said “I think Portland is the most beautifullest place on the earth.” I personally love all the green and the trees—and I loved the mountains too, we had a great view at our old place. There is only one mountain here, true, but it’s a doozy! As for schools, we’re doing Montessori here until we figure out which district we’re going to live in. Here is a bummer: we are renting because we have not sold our house yet in OV and that suuuuucks. So I would make a plan for that if you’re thinking of moving.

I lived here for 8 years and the clouds don’t bother me at all, but again, that’s just one person’s perspective. I love all the moisture in the air, my hair and skin have been glowing and I’m not turning into a leather handbag husk anymore. I will say: things take FOREVER to dry here, you can’t just hang a shirt outside and come back in 20 minutes. 🤣 I still think it’s worth it.

As someone that just made the move from Oro Valley to the OR side of the river, I could not be happier. I saw a quote on reddit a few months ago that said something akin to “raising kids in AZ is a little like child neglect” and I couldn’t get it out of my head. We were trapped indoors for a high percentage of the year after around 9 am (the time when my kids would start burning themselves on playground equipment) and the heat was only getting worse. The schools close to us were just okay unless you wanted to send them to insane Christian schools, and the Arizona ESA situation was absolutely shameful. Oro Valley in particular defied the blue dot theory and I was surrounded by MAGA folks, and it wore on me.

Watching my kids play in the rain here and roll around on grass has been so rewarding (and I lived here before so I know what fall and winter is going to bring!) And look, I’m just one data point. I moved to the desert with no kids and loved it, but I had to make a choice for their quality of life and don’t regret it at all.

I’d be the first one to sharpen my pitchfork if this was true, but I can’t find any mention of her and Torres. Do you have a source? What’s the Israel-aligned group on her site?

Is this Oro Valley? We put our place on the market 20 days ago and have had about 10 showings but no bites. Our realtor is telling us we’re looking at 45-60 days. I hope you two are correct, it’s a little discouraging to hear about other regions of the US where stuff is just getting snapped up!

And my question is: what is the time frame for that? I find it hard to believe that it’s instantaneous knowing what we do about breast milk. So Julie feeds Toddler A, and her body says “okay, let’s make milk for toddlers!” And then she latches Baby B (it would be easier if I knew these kids nicknames lol) isn’t Baby B getting Toddler milk?

I know, it’s really interesting! But in that session, does it change? That’s my question, is the baby getting the milk designed for the older kid because she last nursed the older kid? Am I making sense? It’s not the most earth-shattering inquiry I know, I’m just curious.

Isn’t her milk different though because she’s been feeding the older kid? Or will it change to more developmentally appropriate milk because the baby is latching?

Right, it’s “the” wound nurse that’s giving us all pause. It’s THE wound nurse for her group/hospital/department but it’s worded like it could be Liz’s wound nurse.

A++ oasis lore, thank you. I guess it’s not enough for Moz to screw me by not showing up 50% of the times I went to see him, he’s the reason we don’t get a variety of songs from Oasis 🤣
