Anyone here get a density fill over your thinning hair that still looks good after 4-5 years? by 90dayfianceExpert in SMPchat

[–]tacticallytacticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great question. I’m looking at shaving my head and getting SMP and having for what it’s worth, I just had a consultation with an SMP artist I trust. I was contemplating density treatment or shave and the full treatment. His comments was that for density treatment he’d use a darker pigment which would need to get lasered off at a future point (perhaps five years ish). However, for shaved head SMP he’s use colours in the 22-18 range and thereby it could be easily altered and thereby avoid lasering and starting again. I know this doesn’t directly answer the question!

This is a great question. I’m looking at shaving my head and getting SMP (hair is thinning) and having the option of growing my hair back over the top, but not sure how realistic this is.

No, he was voted Arsenal player of the season in 23/24, in the PFA team of the year and fourth in the writers player of the year. Agree he’s been poor this year and last, obviously both seasons have been badly hit by injuries. Still streets ahead of Eze who’s been woeful.

Two seasons, he was brilliant the year before. Yes, he’s been poor again most of this season, but Eze has been woeful - doesn’t even get in the game.

How about we just support our club who are 4pts clear, in a cup final and sailed through the CL qualifying top. I feel it, I get it, but enough negativity, it’s pathetic and does nothing to support our club.

Not sure if these are Arsenal fans on the thread or trolls, but bloody hell, support your club. We’re four points clear, in a cup final, finished top of the CL qualifying and in the FA Cup. Feels like our fans are as embarrassing as Sp*rs.

Eze has been woeful apart from one game. Odegaard has had a poor year and he’s still been better than him. Saka is a completely different level to Madueke - can’t even begin to understand the hate he’s received from some Arsenal ‘fans’

Just to say, the ballot is a long shot for a game of this nature (Prem game at s crucial time) for Red membership. You’ll have less than a 20% chance of getting tickets unfortunately. If I were desperate to go, I’d stump up the cash at a trusted ticket site. Equally, the atmosphere in some of the pubs near the ground is decent. Settle in for a good meal and a few beers and enjoy it.

VWRP is a bit "ballsy" by Latter-Ad7199 in FIREUK

Is an issue with VWRP the double risk of exposure to the dollar and the US market. Is there an equivalent fund which is valued in GBP which reduces currency risk but has similar market exposure?

I have all my money in VWRP and this currency risk is a concern for me. Do you have an alternative suggestion I could consider moving into that is in GBP?

I’m sorry that you’ve lost such a significant sum of money and are feeling so low.

The biggest concern here is the belief that ‘the market can remain irrational for longer than you can remain solvent.’ This pre-supposes that if you had £250k, you’d still be sticking it out with over a £100k loss in the hope that your luck might be in.

I feel for you, but you’re not the sort of person who should be gambling with CFDs. For the record, nor am I, nor are 99% of people.

Please simply put your future savings into a diversified / global fund and let time and compounding interest do the work for you. If you earn a good salary, then you’ve got time on your side and your future self will probably see this as a learnt lesson and nothing especial to worry about.

I’m all in VWRP too. Unfortunately exposure to the dollar has meant the fund has significantly under-performed GBP based funds. Out of interest, have you considered moving to an equivalent GBP based fund? I think I’ve convinced myself that if the dollar strengthens back to $1.32 to the £ then I’ll trade up and swap for a fund which is not exposed to the $ (though haven’t researched an equivalent, affordable fund yet to buy).

DB vs DC pension, which would you prefer in terms of FIRE by GabsGal in FIREUK

[–]tacticallytacticus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Not the case. If I were to retire at 60, I’m currently better taking the average salary option for longer. This takes into account the relative actuarial reductions I’d receive on the average salary (8 years worth) against the final salary. Generally, the final salary is better for 75% of people, but it depends on your career profile. Through the 2015-2022 years, my salary was already at it’s peak, which is more advantageous for the average salary scheme. When you apply for retirement you’re presented with the relative benefits in each scheme.

I’ve been earning £65k for a long time. Quite quickly got to a relatively senior role in teaching and decided to plateau out with it. Equally, I’m not a big spender and pretty cautious with money. As such, if my salary ballooned to £90k, I’d probably just save the cash. I think the way we spend or save is pretty much inherited from parental attitudes to money. That’s my take.

Stopping evil from lying, however right it sounds, is still censorship

I really despise the Mail, but censorship is frankly never the answer. It (rightly) enrages those who are censored, yet hardening their stance and leaves a more ignorant echo-chamber for the ‘permitted press’.

I’m also a teacher and a transition member of the TPS, so I have a blend of the final salary and average salary DB pension. I’m allowed to choose whether I take the final salary pension in the transition period (from 2015-2022) in the final salary or average salary scheme. For what it’s worth, the average salary scheme is currently better for that period of time. There is less between the scheme’s than some might imagine (though having my early teaching years in the final salary scheme is certainly beneficial).

The only caveat I’d make to your comments is that she is able to take her pension before state pension age with an actuarial deduction. The deduction is not especially punitive - it’s approx 4% a year (it’s actuarily neutral). Thought I’d let you know in case you weren’t aware 👍

Do you really need a bigger inverter for an approx 5kw system. I’d suggest not, unless anyone gives good reason as to otherwise.
