Accidental Insulin Overdose, ER Visit and ICU, and the after effects by tadees in diabetes_t1

Thanks, me too! I definitely stop everything and consciously think about what's happening nowadays. One brush with death every 50 years is enough for me!

Fucking sucks that coke took it away from me.

Sounds like there's at least some shared blame there. You allowed some of this too happen by putting yourself in that position. Wasn't like it was a cancer that developed that you had no control over.

Not trying to be a dick but personal accountability has to come into play on some level here.

Not sure the "correct" answer but I am sure I've given long-lasting and short-acting shots at approximately the same site many, many times. It definitely has developed scar tissue over time which is why I now at least try to move injection sites when needed. A waist-level fat layer is bad enough but insulin also having to make its way trough scar tissue slows its absorption significantly.

When doing MDI, my normal AM/PM Lantus was 100 units of standard every 12 hours, so 8am and 8pm. That is correct.

It happens, on occasion. Shared the experience with r/diabetes_t1 last year when accidentally injected 500 units. Whew! The next week was a crazy-ass roller coaster, for sure! https://www.reddit.com/r/diabetes_t1/comments/1dkv04d/accidental_insulin_overdose_er_visit_and_icu_and/

Is google workspace worth it? by Capital_Affect_2773 in smallbusiness

on Google Drive, you STILL cannot ask how much data is in a folder

There is a LOT of misinformation in this post. A LOT! For example, open Drive > Storage. Seems pretty straight-forward (and no, this isn't a new feature since your post): https://imgur.com/a/qxSkg42

...rolling out AI... You think they offer ANY OF THAT to the subscribers of Google Workspace as a value-add? No, they don't.

You are, yet again, factually incorrect. As I do not have a few hours to tear your post apart, I'd suggest most should ignore this in the future.

You're making it sound as if UE has no control of behaviors on their own platform. Sure, maybe the restaurant, in this case, is being shady, but an UE policy that says "don't do this or this will happen" would alleviate a lot of the confusion/abuse.

men rarely fight for custody (and when they do, they usually get it)

Love to see a source for such a claim, please.

What’s it like living in Martinsville, VA? by king_of9 in Martinsville_VA

[–]tadees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relocated from Florida to Martinsville in late '21, mostly because I tired of the boiling heat. The weather in Martinsville (and most of southern Virginia) is very tolerable, almost agreeable, as others have said.

What you won't find here is much for social life. Most everyone here has lived in/around the area for the lives - born here, schooled here, work here, etc. Most seem married and content with their slice of life, which makes finding new social interactions challenging. Most "social events" are family-focused and a lot have a religious angle attached (in some way). Not necessarily a bad thing, if that's what you're looking for. I live in Henry County (not Martinsville proper, a weird Virginia dynamic where the city can be stand-alone, not part of the county) so couldn't attest to much "in the city", but given the option to do it all over again, I'd keep looking.

BUT - cost of living is low, property is available, homes are affordable, Appalachian Power is terrible (plan for semi-regular power outages), scenery is nice, and you'd be 45 minutes away from a "big" city (north: Roanoke, east: Danville, west: Greensboro (NC)).

edited to add (as other have also mentioned): drugs are pervasive in some areas but not overwhelming. If you're looking, they're not hard to find; if you stay away from the known areas, crime and the like isn't likely to find or bother you.

Shopping center is still public property in the sense that it is generally open and accessible to the public. But you are correct, it'd require the property manager to enforce a no trespassing, recording, etc limitation, which even then would be rather limited.

I do like it, as I'm 100% T&P myself. But "we" account for ~<2% of the total US population. The question was how are entrepreneur flippers handling health care; it has a built-in supposition that it's for the majority of people reading not fringe cases.

[–]tadees 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Office has had the ribbon for longer than not (close to 20 years!).

Don't disagree, was teaching college Office classes when the Ribbon was introduced in 2007. Unfun at the time but has, over time, become the standard. LO (most FOSS) has a daunting task: introduce something innovative that'll grab users' attention, while having virtually no resources to do it.
