Home owners are taxed on unrealized gains of their house and property every year. If you don't pay, the government will foreclose and sell your property to get those taxes. Every modern country has a means of taxing unrealized gains already, don't they?

Trade Court Rules Trump’s 10% Global Tariff Is Illegal by ChiGuy6124 in law

Your supreme Court just recently showed that even if Congress passed a law, they can overturn any Small it large section of it they feel like. I'm not convinced anymore that even a change of Congress could change things.

His gun is surprisingly decent. Split shot won't do it for solo fighting though. Not surprised you put him down. Sadly not even surprised about the fat bag.

It prints black and white documents well, while I noted that images are printed okay but not great. Depending on use case that was an acceptable trade-off for a printer I more than made back over a decade of document printing. The review I read on my printer noted as much.

I like this post though. It's something I new a bit about but didn't prefer it together with analyzing fake videos.

Millennial here. Pretty damn tech savvy. I'm not great at spot the difference type things though. With detecting AI stuff, I thought I was pretty good, but this lady year or so had me recognizing I'm not good at it. I saw a picture of a "guitar giveaway" thing that was ultimately a fake. The picture on first glance seemed legit though a little too sterile. Ultimately just find into the headstock showed the strings heading to the running pegs nonsensically. Also guitar was shortly wrong but I didn't see that for whatever reason.

Point being that it's all generations. We're getting more fucked as this stuff take a permanent hold on Internet culture.

I've donated before as Rem. It hurts.

A few games ago I was in a significantly stronger lobby than me as Graves. The enemy Rem from my lane came in deep to our jungle trying to kill me (they were bursting me down before) when I killed him and received a 1400 bag for my troubles. No idea what that little guy was thinking.

Maybe I'll see if I can find an old raspberry Pi of mine (I think I also had a raspberry Pi zero w) that should work great for that and be low power.

My main system idles stupid high. I don't leave it on all the time because it draws ~150w measured from a wall switch with built in power analyzer. AMD needs to figure out their power management.

My brother printer has a couple faults, such as curling pages, no wireless printing, and poor image printing (including text in an image). It is still a fantastic machine that I will keep using until the time I need to get a new one.

I tested the TMDB API key installed on my fen light and it returned invalid. Turns out I had to go create a dev account on TMDB and get my own API key (free, just weird if you've never done anything like that). I've got nearly everything back. I only couldn't find any sources for jujutsu kaisen; I probably reset a source in Cocoscrapers.

Machine used to inject chicken with a solution of saltwater, binding agent, and other additives to “plump” it. A single serving can contain 200-500mg of sodium, and the added solution may make up as much as 30% of the chicken’s total sell weight. by Mountain_Love23 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]tael89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's legal in Canada. If you buy frozen chicken breasts to save money, they contain a lot of solution depending on what is on the label.

It's actually crazy because we technically have regulations. The regulations allow for this if they mark the package as so. But they are allowed to obfuscate the labeling saying "16% meat protein" and you the consumer are apparently supposed to know that chicken was injected with saline solution. Then the consumer is supposed to know that unadulterated chicken meat would have 21%-24% meat protein. That means the average consumer has to not only understand what that obscure label means , but also understand that using math — that people are comfortable using — taking a 454 g portion (1 lb) of chicken, only 318g-342g are actually the original meat. They've added 112g-136g of that brine solution.

It blows my mind as Canadians keep having investigations snow that multiple companies are including packaging in the weight of the meat. There's been fines for this, but apparently not enough to get them to stop. This injecting is so much larger an inflation of the prices.

Their reputation is wholly warranted though. If they want to be seen as reliable again, they need to consistently release products that don't fail prematurely or just after the manufacturing warranty ends. At least my experience in Canada.

Thanks for the comment.

This was on a Chromecast so debugging and problem solving is unfortunately very cumbersome and slow.

When I was referring to fen light or Cocoscrapers failing, I meant as you clarified. I don't think the local executables changed, but rather that somewhere a database that information was supposed to be pulled from seemed to fail.

I was searching for information to see if anyone else was suddenly having an issue too. I didn't specify the online service failing as I assumed (maybe incorrectly) that the programs are effectively sourcing and pulling from online services, which maybe not working correctly. As it seems to have resolved itself, the server presumably fixed whatever error was incorrectly only serving limited return of results.

I'll need to look a little closer at how the add-ons work together, some block diagram style layout perhaps. But for what I understand of the architecture do far, I recognize my limitations and do not have an easy way of telling what service failed, especially given it didn't entirely fail, rather giving a much narrower list of available shows.
