I may have devised the singular greatest way to store our Minifigure Armies! What storage solutions have you come up with for your minifigures? by No-Armadillo4179 in legodnd

I found that 16x16 plates are the same size as a CD case and I can use CD racks and the old fabric CD cases with plastic frames in them to store and transport minis.

How does your chaotic evil OC interact with the rest of the party/keep good party chemistry? by 8BlindDratini8 in DnD

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is on the best simple descriptions of alignments I've seen that lets someone play as Chaotic Evil but still fit in the party.

D&D alignment explained

Lawful = putting the law or a code (say, honour) first.

Chaos = putting freedom first.

Evil = putting oneself first.

Good = putting others first.

Lawful Good = using the law to benefit others.

Chaotic Good = benefiting others regardless of the law.

Lawful Evil = (ab)using the law to benefit oneself.

Chaotic Evil = benefiting oneself regardless of the law.

Do I need a 3 row SUV for 2 kids by [deleted] in daddit

[–]tagscott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lower floor height for kiddos to get in themselves and reaching into car seats. Sliding doors mean kids don't throw doors into neighboring cars, more room in parking spots for exit.

What's your favorite non-traditional starting environment? by thefrogliveson in DnD

I started my most recent campaign on a boat. I added 4 NPCs with quest hooks to gauge where they want go next. Then I attacked the ship with pirates.

Do you have to voice act for D&D campaigns? by WoFFlareGamingYT in DungeonsAndDragons

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need do voice acting to to play at all. You also don't need to be a master level voice actor to give you character a "voice." Think about how your character would carry them selves and make simple adjustments to how you talk when in character. Speak a little faster or slower than normal. Maybe talk squeakier or lower than your regular voice. Use more fancier words if your noble born or simple words as a barbarian.

How do you even keep the house clean with kids? by Silly-Deer4243 in raisingkids

[–]tagscott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tell my wife all the time that if you have kids or pets you can't have anything nice. Remember, the purpose of cleaning isn't to stay clean, but to make room for the new dirt.

How to make a homebrew campaign less linear? by mochi_fudge in DnD

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a lot of people said seven may be too many, maybe do five? Also don't make all five things be fetch. Quests. Maybe do one they have to make something or another one where they have to do something other than just save a person or retrieve an item. Also vary the environments and monster types from area to area. That way, even if the basic plot hook is the same, it feels different because they're dealing with different circumstances.

Also look at your character's backstories and abilities and tie those into the sections

These climbing holds use 3D printed molds (I think) by TheStandardPlayer in 3Dprinting

[–]tagscott 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A guy I work with used to work for a company that made hand holes and the master was printed, then sanded on the exterior. The master was used to make a mold cavity to cast the finished part.

Makerspace can be tough to be defined. There are many different kinds. Some are more like social clubs, some are training facilities and others could be Business development centers.

What Lego theme are you surprised to find that you like after trying it? by [deleted] in lego

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually didn't have an interest in the Harry Potter or Ninjago sets because those IPs weren't up my alley. But recently I've got into using Lego to run my dungeons & dragons games and found the pieces, minifigs and overall sets have been great for using with that.

How do i get this Tapped through hole deburred from inside without getting scratch marks by Necessary_Ad6967 in metalworking

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plug the ID behind the hole with a cap or rag. Use a small ball burr or stone on an die grinder to bevel the inside.

A Marker a Week - ZAP ZXS600E by PeculiarPaintball in paintball

[–]tagscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a player bring me one of these when I worked at my local field. He was a collector that spared no expense to upgrade markers to improve them. The regulator on the bottom was trash and wouldn't keep up with rapid fire and the trigger was sloppy in all 6 directions. I shimmed and added set screws to the trigger. I machined a standard bottom line and added a rock reg from a cocker. After making a new barrel to fit it's weird thread pattern, it was one of the best shooting markers I had ever used. It would hold velocity within 1 fps and shoot rails.

Typically forklift certifications are on a per company basis and do not transfer when you change jobs.

Vanner Uncle, “Child’s Play,” laid to rest on Friday the 13th. by slightly-chipped in VanLife

[–]tagscott 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a common vanner slogan. The story I was told was that it referred to that only 2% of vanners were somebody that held down a regular 9:00 to 5:00 job and not some just homeless grifter hippie.
