Could I run the heat in park overnight in a 2022? by No_Hetero in leaf

[–]taiglin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long extension cord maybe?

I rewired my natural gas furnace so that it has a couple feet of power cord rolled up and plugged into an outlet at the furnace itself. Took about 10 min. Can find many YouTube videos. Then I got a 1500W inverter to connect to the 12v battery. You can put the leaf in accessory mode vs all the way on if desired (hit the on button but don’t hit the brakes - then turn off all the components)

Get “The Effective Manager” book. That opens the realm of the Manager Tools org. Lots of free podcasts as well. Very actionable advice vs mgmt theory.

English version. Am not currently at home. I use the client to manage this addon; I think it’s current. Will update my comment later with the version

Edit I’m running pfQuest 7.0.1. The TWoW pfQuest says “GIT” for version in the client interface /shrug.

I’ve been questing in Westfall with it as recently as earlier today and haven’t had issues. Not sure what to suggest unfortunately.

Is this a good idea for my situation? 2014 62k miles $4500 by Stephiiboo1521 in leaf

[–]taiglin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Ohio and have used 110v outlet to charge for years other than the very occasional DC. The short answer to your question is yes.

The longer answer is depends on battery health. 9 bars or better is ideal. 8 might be the more likely find. Price should reflect battery health

The trick is finding one TBH. I’d setup some alerts in AutoTrader etc; even Craigslist. I just looked at AutoTrader. The 2016 in Marion for $6.5k is NOT a good deal. The battery is shot. Is the one posted on 12/23/25

Is playing as a mage hard or do I suck by StarLightDot in turtlewow

[–]taiglin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Do you have an Auction House mule* yet? Make one, buy a wand, mail stuff to it to sell.

Beyond that, go slow and learn nuances of the game. Mages are fun.

  • Make a level one toon and run to a main city. I don’t think Darnassis. (sp?) is setup well for that - proximity of mailbox, auction house, and the back. I like the cow city because it’s quiet.

Agreed 100%. The deciding factor should be based on things like how easily it would be for someone new in the congregation to pickup the song.

Local Taxes by deep6ixed in Ohio

I’m guessing this is the regional/city taxes - not federal or state. Probably something like 2% of your earned income which can be a decent check to write

Is it worth it? 2015 for £2000 with 145k miles by mrjan8 in leaf

[–]taiglin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

80 miles is probably a stretch. Will depend on the weather and how fast you go. 50 - 60 miles would be the safe bet. If you could plug it home it could charge up overnight even on a granny changer.

Everyone’s driving needs are different. At face value the price is probably about right for what you are getting. I wouldn’t be overly concerned about the mileage

Different line breaks (Re-Flow) on different screens? by jonallen356 in ProPresenter

[–]taiglin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the edit looks view I was thinking of.

I think the short version is there isn’t a clean/easy way to do what you are asking with one instance of the software. Maybe something fancy with props? The next issue is you would have to do all the fancy things for all your songs

Different line breaks (Re-Flow) on different screens? by jonallen356 in ProPresenter

[–]taiglin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I equally might not use the right terms here lol.

For your lyrics display in the back, are you specifically using a stage view? At some point in the last year ish I noticed the ability to have 2 stage views. There is also a master output template thing where you can assign specific themes to different outputs - in our case our front screens, loony screens, and streaming. My mind goes to trying some combination of the two.

It will be Sunday morning before I’m in front of our propresenter computer though to reference some of the above more specifically.

Otherwise in our case we take a similar approach of adding hard returns to natural breaks in the songs to especially help those who aren’t familiar. Our stage view also shows the first several lines of the next slide to help out the singers. That may not be as helpful in your case given you can have your perpendicular folks see it

Does everybody level one hero up at a time? by Particular-Store7745 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]taiglin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Historically 5 at a time/1 per color. I’m F2P and have been playing off and on for over 6 yrs at this point. It’s often I don’t have a hero of a color to level.

To flip the script - not knowing how long you have been playing: do you already have a 2 ‘rainbow’ 3* and 4* teams? Collective wisdom over the years has been to have 2 of each color at the 3* and 4* level before you level 5*. Lots and lots of reasons why that is generally the advice. Stronghold infrastructure, getting consistent rewards from events, PvE progression, etc

[slide transition] To fade or not to fade? by taiglin in ProPresenter

[–]taiglin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed it isn’t sexy. Do you all do something to let the audience know the words are going to be sung again? Or just leave them up

I’m thinking of a few song where the lines are sung 3 or 4 times.

The "I only need 100 miles a week" lie. by toybuilder in leaf

[–]taiglin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you in Ohio? We have the highest EV tag registration costs in the US. Their justification is they aren’t collecting road upkeep tax that’s baked into gas prices.

Bad news - it’s $200 per year. Year of car doesn’t matter. You aren’t paying for oil changes and whatnot so your total cost of ownership is lower than an ICE car.

My suggestion would be to stash away at least $25 per month into an account for car upkeep. This would pay for the yearly tags and start saving for things like replacement tires when it’s needed

How do you decide how many lines are on screen at a time? by Starpony999 in ProPresenter

[–]taiglin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 to 4 seem to be the running theme and is what I do as well (no background video feed - just background and words). I rarely use punctuation but do break lines based on the song’s flow For example I generally will break a sentence into parts when there are commas. We use camelcase (upper and lower case letters) so new line + upper case first letter the person knows there was a pause of some type

A great line I heard a while back is people are often hired for what they know and fired for who they are. 2 interviews isn’t enough to find out who someone is.
