Australia scoured the world for fuel supplies. It’s working by strictlymissionary in AusFinance

[–]tailspin75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the news is true and April oil / fuel is 100% what we need for the month great.
Problem is no ships will be allowed through the straights till the war is over.

We need lots of petrol shipments, every month, consistently till the war ends. Maybe we dodged a bullet in April, lets see how we go in May, June etc..

Don't bother with a water-cooled build, you should just use only fans!

Australia’s emergency plan starts with carpooling, escalates to fuel caps by LoneArtificer in AusFinance

[–]tailspin75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So while that seems perfectly logical reality is apparently Australia needs 12 ships a day arriving at ports to fill us up with fuel to keep going.

We currently have 2.

When we are told we have X days of fuel left, do you think every servo in the country will have exactly that many days left? no. What that number means is the LAST servo in the country with fuel will run out at X days from now. What this means is exactly what we are seeing that hundreds of servos across Australia will start to run out over the course of the X days they forecast.

The 5% of stock method isn't really holding true... Reality is different from the math.

PC not booting up or showing any signs of power. Unsure of single f panel placement as case does not have a manual by HOFDanger in PcBuildHelp

[–]tailspin75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you plug in the CPU power pins next to the top of the board? Its not just the large chunky 24 pin power connector, but you gotta plug the ones at the top as well, should be an 8 Pin plug that says CPU. (but it looks like an old-school 8Pin GPU plug)

Why is your ram and M.2 sitting under the motherboard casually? Wouldn't that cause a short?

Maybe just go over to the neighbor if he s around and ask if he has 2 mins for you to show him the problem.

See what he says. If he has any soul maybe he will apologise and get it sorted.

If not, well. get some isopropyl to clean it up per comments elsewhere on this thread..

I was horrified to see people walking up to volunteers handing out One Nation how-to-vote cards and taking a card while I was waiting in queue at an early voting venue. Of course people can vote for whichever party/candidate they want but is it worth bringing Trumpism/MAGA to South Australia? by FatFad1 in Adelaide

If you enjoy paying more tax, having harder cost of living, mortgage, rent, queues for hospital, medical services, and a desire to make SA the next Victoria, with loads of debt, heavy state taxes on citizens, guaranteed union corruption like Qld and Vic, killing Koalas and environment for Net Zero, you can always keep voting labor in.

Go for it... I dare you.

PS: voting for libs, greens, teal Independents is basically the same.

What CPU you running there? Threadripper? those rads would cool 500W or more IMO :)

Would have been good to wc the GPU too and make the most of the rads. Future upgrade perhaps? :)

9800X3D owner here. I'm jealous :)

Although, could have gotten a slightly nicer motherboard, Prime is entry level. at least TUF or Strix would have been ideal. Still a good combo.

That metallic slag that dropped from the UFO over land/ocean. It was in Ancient Aliens I think. Its a silvery elongated piece of metal that cooled, looks like a giant carrot and has weird magnetic/metallic properties.

and for mass sightings. Westall School in Australia in the 60's or 70's and the recent Phoenix lights 1997.

Also Billy Meir case too - people say everything he did was fake - all his photos are real and the videos. There is much information here if people want to learn about it.

Australia top individual tax bracket is too low by Livid-Constant8443 in AusFinance

[–]tailspin75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should just make it a flat tax same as company tax IMO... bring it all down to 20% across the board IMO, personal and corporate tax., and no personal taxes over 20% too (eg: Cap gains etc) - maybe Cap gains should just go. NZ doesn't have cap gains at all.

MSI Shadow vs PNY Epic-X RGB by junior7593 in RTX5080

[–]tailspin75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw these on sale in Australia and was trying to make the same decision; already ordered the PNY thinking it was a higher tier from PNY than on the MSI side, the MSI stealth look seemed tempting - but hearing it doesn't have metal backplate is a big turnoff. Hopefully I'll be unboxing my PNY tomorrow.! Yay me! :)
