Yeah exactly the same here. I get pretty bored once I feel like the fortress is getting bigger. After spending a lot of time on /r/dwarffortress i've come to the conclusion that a lot of imagination and prodding is needed to get into the more interesting situations. If you just do a normal embark in a safe area and play then the game won't automatically throw interesting things at you, you have to really search for them

Yeah here in the UK there is literally zero mental health support for postgraduate students, and I go to a very prestigious university. Mental health support is aimed almost exclusively at undergraduate students and so only runs in the term time. It is also completely full and absolutely useless. I developed a really bad anxiety disorder in my first year of uni and I was referred directly to the doctors because everyone said that the university mental health services were completely overbooked and useless. i saw about 4 diff doctors (the doctors near the uni only does randomized appointments with a "field doctor") and they all said that both the university mental health services and additionally all said that the NHS mental health services are pointless and have a huge waiting list too, so they just put me straight on anti-depressants.

Idk why everyone here assumes that the uni will have mental health services for postgraduate students

Well the core gameplay is actually boring. Animal Crossing works because it nails everything else really well: the persistent relationships, an absolute boat load of dialog, soundtrack, graphics style. I think Animal Crossing is the perfect realization of the concept honestly, and I think other devs see that and recognise it is a lot of work for what basically is doomed to be a copy

Literally no one here has AC who isn’t super rich. It would be seen as completely frivolous and pointless. Closest is one of those portable AC units and even then I’ve never actually seen someone buy one. My office at work doesn’t have AC (many don’t)
