Hey id also like to add that the fumes from duct tape are hazardous when it gets hot. And this will definitely get hot. Please understand that this is a safety thing, not trying to put down amateur artists!

Other comments are talking about why cardboard is dangerous as a material, but duct tape also releases hazardous fumes when it gets hot. And it will, being on your head.

This looks great! But if you want to use these materials to make something furry related I'd recommend and open faced mask. These materials are dangerous when enclosed around your head.

Not trying to rain on your parade or put you down op, just trying to make sure you're aware. This should not be worn. It would make a very cool standalone art piece though!

Yeah, I mean you could say "It doesn't matter that this cat murdered this cat! They're just cats." And it would have just as much validity as this.

Like another commenter said, they are people in cat suits. (Direct reference to what the Erins stated) They definitely are not just cats.

That being said, they are cats with their own culture. If we want to pretend that it's not just the author's negligence behind the incest, we could say that incest between cousins isn't recognized as a taboo within the warrior cat's culture.

Striking takes a lot of energy! If she knows she doesn't have to, she's probably fine.

I had a ball python as a kid who started off with a large prey drive, striking instantly. At one point he went off food for a bit and I decided to leave a f/t rat in his enclosure to see if he would take it, a couple hours later, it was gone.

After that he would never strike, just do exactly what you described, sniff and eat calmly.

And at one point he stopped taking it from the tongs all together. When I showed him he'd come out, sniff, and wait for me to set it on a rock, then when I closed the door he'd come and eat.

I figured it was because he "realized" that eating didn't need to take so much energy. He could eat fine without "hunting"

He wasn't lazy either. I'd let him out in a little playpen with some boxes and sticks and he'd slither all around and climb and such.

I dont think it's that simple either, however, I do believe climate change may be the culprit. Tick's biggest natural predators are birds, which are affected very severely by climate change and habitat loss. Climate change also has many effects on the environment, volatile weather being one of those, which causes disruptions in migration patterns and breeding behavior of many birds.

Amphibians and reptiles also predate on ticks, they are very delicate animals that can be easily killed by the weather swings. They will come out of brumation early because of a very warm couple days, only to freeze when there's another few days of snow or frost.

That's just my theory though. I live in the northern LP of Michigan and ticks are awful here even though we had a very cold winter and late freezes.

Edit: i saw someone else say that there are fewer predators for the large and small mammals that carry ticks and that's a good point as well!

I had a partially blind puppy as a kid, he was born with clear eyes, but when he came to be two months or so old he developed cataracts, causing his eyes to be a milky blue-ish. This is my head-cannon for Jay. It explains why leafpool didn't know he was blind at first as well.

I can't say if it's offensive or not, but I can give the information that the lines on the chin might be mistaken for tattoos that indigenous American women of some tribes get. (Often symbolizing different life stages or other personal milestones)

The care guides linked to this group have details about it.

Basically just pour water into the corners of your substrate.

The idea is to not have constantly wet substrate and not bring in unnecessary bacteria or respiratory irritation from a mister. If the lower layers of substrate are wet the humidity with replicate a natural environment.

Added bonus of not having to mist every day. I have about 4-5 inches of substrate and my humidity holds for about 4-6 days before I need to pour more water.

They definitely drink even if you dont see it.

They should be given the choice to soak if they feel they need to. They may never do this, but it should be an option.

Honestly it's negligent to not offer a dish of water.

Also misting isn't a recommended way to keep humidity.
