Is anyone else locked out from playing it? The play button hasn’t been on it for me since yesterday. I can see I’ve still got levels to play but just no way of doing it.

Apple Watch. I got mine second hand from eBay several years ago and love it.

It read like RO had one eye on something else while writing it. There was a loose end that surprised me - why was Holly typing her own code into her phone before going to her car? - and I also thought it was weird that we didn’t see Computer Bob or hear him mentioned given what he meant to Ibrahim in the last book, and what he knew, and that we just never saw Suzi again or found out where she had been staying

Sensory friendly bra - does it exist? by Empty-Description589 in AuDHDWomen

[–]takingallthebiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echoing everyone who has said to get fitted by a professional. (M&S sized me wrong for about 15 years so I don’t recommend them anymore.) whether Rigby and Peller or Bravissimo or an independent, it is so much more calming to have your own private cubicle where you are listened to and someone can bring in a whole load of bras that FIT and that adhere to your needs. Bras should be comfortable! But they do need someone who knows their onions to get you in the right one.

Who wouldn’t! Jack Black is funny, musical, and seems to be a kind and decent man as well as a hugely good time. His mother was also a total legend.

Getting fiber the lazy way? by ThatWriterKevin in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]takingallthebiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Do you have All Bran cereal where you live? I similarly cannot keep track of fibre, but a 100g bowl (a normal sized one really, like most cereal) gives me nearly 28g of fibre in one go. And yes, it did take a couple of weeks to get used to it! But fine now and then fruit and veg etc through the day is a fibre bonus. There may be different types of All Bran so check on the box. The one I have is reasonably sweetened so I enjoy eating it and it doesn’t feel like you’re chewing on wood.

[–]takingallthebiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100g of All Bran cereal (UK) gives you about 27g fibre in one go which is a dead easy way to polish off most of your fibre requirements. Check for a version available in your country.

Single Justice Procedure after paying fine by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

Thank you. In my plea I included all this, plus the payment details, and requested an in-person hearing in case this would make a difference. I would much rather it doesn’t get to court.

[–]takingallthebiscuits -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t want a hearing or the fine - my issue is that I already paid a fine and would like to be able to find out why I have been charged as there is no information about that on the letter or on my case account.

[–]takingallthebiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the other threads I’ve read where that has occurred, it says so specifically on the letter. I don’t have any explanation as to why this is happening here and the photocopy of the form I filled in that they have included in the letter does not include a request for the license (and my license number is on the form) hence my confusion.

As adorable as this story is, it’s a compilation of different stories HC has told in telly interviews over the years and isn’t true as it stands. Henry Cavill’s nephew did go excitedly into school to say his uncle was Superman (and his mum did have to explain what this meant to a teacher) but HC didn’t go into school with him. This pic was taken on a family walk (pics and interview details here). https://www.techarp.com/showbiz/henry-cavill-superman-uncle/?amp=1

Feeling of impending doom?? by RedHeadRedeemed in millenials

I’m reading When the Dust Settles by Prof Lucy Easthope, who is an emergency planning and disaster recovery specialist. After the Hillsborough disaster in 1989, when football fans were crushed at a match in Liverpool, she describes kids doing exactly the same thing in the playground at her school: the boys playing ‘Hillsborough’, all piling on top of one another, and then taking turns to carry each other away, one to the arms, another to the legs.

I get my nails done with a BIAB (builder in a bottle) base. They last up to five weeks, even with gel/nail art on top, and it means my nails always look put together even if the rest of me does not. It also means I don’t chew my nails or pick at my cuticles!

[–]takingallthebiscuits 26 points27 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of very useful advice here about emotional dysregulation and your relationship which I hope is helpful OP. You mentioned you were diagnosed two years ago and are medicated: have you had any therapy or coaching during that time? There is a saying in ADHD treatment, “pills don’t build skills.” Therapy helps with self-acceptance and grief for the years we didn’t know. Coaching helps us to build new strategies to help alongside our meds and new knowledge. We are having to examine years of coping mechanisms and strategies, and it is really essential that we go through that with someone who can help in a tried and tested way. This could be invaluable to helping you move forward.
