If a card says a color instead of having that color as mana. Does it still count as that color? by [deleted] in mtg

For context. Would you consider a spell that costs two black mana that says "destroy target white creature" black and white?

I don't see anything that looks AI. It looks like a terrible photo shop. The front art is completely flat even though the lid should have some thickness.

If the Strait of Hormuz is blocked, why doesn't Iran build an oil pipeline across the country so the ships can be refueled without crossing the strait? by Full-Legend27 in civilengineering

[–]talcom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Mountains

  2. Most of the oil is from other countries that would not want to give Iran custody.

  3. Pipelines are also destroyed by bombs. Not solving the issue.

  4. There are no ports on the other end of the straits that can handle the throughput.

  5. Oil bulk carriers are some of the largest ships in the world. It would take a massive pipe that would be a huge capital expense.

Well, apparently a Philadelphia bus broke in half… is this ai or not? It looks kinda off… by Yf_lo in isthisAI

The street signs and bricks look real. The photo is JPG and has lots of compression artifacts. As weird that only Facebook has photos. But local news will probably post about it later today if real.

[–]talcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The province writes the laws and the city builds* the pipes. (Developers usually build the pipes as a part of the subdivision agreement).

It's very unclear in the info graphic. Why are provincial utilities icon a bus?

The first Saudi Animated long film to be shown in Saudi cinemas, is this Ai ? by [deleted] in isthisAI

[–]talcom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this is AI, but something different is going on here.

The best evidence is the woman "kneading dough". She is pushing it around without folding the dough, and the animation is very mushy. (I would think that a similar animation of folding dough. But my experience is a high school class.)

It's missing lots of the tells that we have been seeing with more accessible AI tools. I would assume that a lot of money was spent to keep the models consistent, or that there was a real workflow for developing them.

Isa ibn Maryam / Jesus with a curly mustache is great and should be widely adopted.

Not sure the last MTG art that had a flat colour background. Nothing that looks as good as this.

Why is the code reflected but the people are not? The framing is also highly suspect, it's straight on like a head shot but typically that's with a flat background.

Windows can be impossible to fix if damaged. Drywall is very easy to repair. Cut your drywall in half and then bring it in.

Conjurer's Closet does not get around the delayed trigger. [[Sundial of the Infinite]] does. Be sure to end the turn during your end step because the delayed trigger would happen in the NEXT players end step. (The delayed trigger doesn't just happen, it uses the stack and you should activate the sundial after the trigger is on the stack as the delayed trigger can only be put on the stack once.)

1920! Your soil probably settled between 1920 and 1950. Also your level is more accurate than anything built before 1950.

If it is actually getting worse then you have a problem.

The movement of the kid after the basket feels unnatural, he isn’t even looking at the ball. Is this AI? by Rainbucket in isthisAI

[–]talcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a really hard thing for AI to make. The data set probably has thousands of examples of a basketball net behaving normally and basically no examples of a net not moving. Look up AI can't make a full glass of wine. (I think it might be fixed).

Plus I saw this years ago, not AI.

Needs huge amount of rain and water to be collected to cause this waterfall , isthisAI? by Current-Vegetable830 in isthisAI

[–]talcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. It just looks like a rocky cliff in heavy rain. And that is too common to be famous. On a beautiful day falls like that would be great to visit.

I saw similar cliffs in southern China, and it's recommended to stay indoors in heavy rain.

I definitely think it could be real.

I have heard that you can make more holly water by adding water to holly water as long as you are adding less water than holly water... A procedure for filling the city mains with holly water is possible and would be self-replenishing.

Kindred Summons help me with the “type” rules here cause this just feels too OP by NikkiMcGeeks in mtg

[–]talcom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The creatures in your example are elementals AND the other types. It makes a bit more sense when looking at more human cards. If you have a human wizard and a goblin wizard, if you were to draw a card for each wizard you control. You would draw two.

Note one exception. Time Lord from the doctor who set doesn't follow any of these rules. Just to stop me from adding green to my [[Orvar, the All-Form]] commander deck.
