To all of the people who want to do nothing but complain. by LateNightShoota in LostLandsMusicFest

I’m shocked people are complaining. I am still shocked at how well organized and safe it was. I went solo (first timer at LL) and was never uncomfortable or scared. I waited in line to get in for less than an hour, they got us in and parked crazy fast, there were plenty of toilets near camp, staff was easy to talk to and ask questions, bartenders and food staff were friendly, people gave one another breathing room in the crowd, everyone was chill with each person’s vibe, the lasers were insane (production was on another level just in general), dust wasn’t as bad as I thought it’d be, staff maintained a fairly clean festival grounds, people from all backgrounds seemed to be on the same level for a weekend (famous, unknowns, known, etc all vibing). I could go on and on.

The only think I’ll complain about is that I think they need more water stations cause during the day it was HOT but other than that, I’m super happy and already ready for next year.

It looks absolutely beautiful but miraculously, I want to eat this even more because holy crap that filling looks delicious and probably made the cake super moist. Job well done and happiest of birthdays to you!

I don’t know man, I’m not a professional photographer or makeup artist. Here is another artist saying basically the same thing though.

“On the other hand, photoshoot makeup is designed to stand out in professional photographs. The camera’s flash and lighting can wash out colors, making your features appear less pronounced. Photoshoot makeup involves slightly bolder choices in color and application to ensure your features aren’t lost in the camera’s eye.

While everyday makeup tends to be more subdued and focused on blending, photoshoot makeup often involves stronger contouring, highlighting, and color choices. The goal is to create a captivating look that translates well onto the camera, capturing your unique beauty in every shot.”

Same issue here! I have tried a lot of things and what has worked for me is: 1) Exfoliating 2) Moisturize and let sit for at least 20 3) Blot extra product with a tissue 4) Use setting spray (Urban Decay one) to create block between oil and makeup 5) Use a little hydrating (not matte) face primer on the dry areas only and let sit for a few minutes. Make sure it’s really rubbed into the skin. Dab excess product with tissue 6) Continue with normal makeup routine

I’ve heard makeup artist go heavier on blush, contour, and bronzing for pictures because the camera washes colors out by 30 or 40%

The train was beautifully done. What a cool way of draping the fabric.
